This championship is really getting the better of me. I am using the veyron, I start off OK but into the later races as soon as i get overtaken it becomes impossible to reclaim first place as the race leader will gain up to 15 second lead. So far I am only able to claim silver in this championship. I have quite a bit of money but not sure what car to buy. any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Veyron really is a crap car in Corners , I used the Minolta Toyota that easily won the championship by miles

I tried the Veyron but it does not have the low weight and high downforce of these monster race cars you encounter in this event and in "like the wind". You would have to go with a 4 million credits, level 23 race car like the ones you encounter in the event. (or 3 million something in the used car lot).
Some people say that a Corvette (Z06 or ZR1) race modified will be enough to beat it though.

I tried this series for the first time last night and brought the Minolta to the party. At Grand Valley I just couldn't beat the Judd to the first corner. After that, despite keeping the laps smooth, the Judd would tack about 1sec per lap on me win easy.

Aside from maxing out the aero and messing with the TCS for better launch I didn't do much in the way of setup. Any suggestions?

Did you bump up the top speed setting on the customizable transmission? I set mine at 260mph (IIRC) and it just blasts past absolutely everything. It's a monster of a car.

Hmmm...I don't remember. I was using it for Like the Wind @ Indy so I think I did bump the top speed. I'll have to check when I get home.

Oil Change

Stage 3 Turbo

Soft Race Slicks

I've never ever lost a Race in that car , It's Bonkers Fast

After Grinding it to death too level up , I got the Engine Overhauled 500,000 cr  but it went from 991 BHP too 1040 BHP 👍

B-Scec Bob's also love the Car they've never lost a Race in it Either 👍

Quick Question....

where can I buy that can? Is it a Premium or Used? And is it under Toyota or do I have to look for it somewhere else?

Thanks upfront

You can Win it in the "In the Wind Race" in A-Spec

Get the Minolta from A-spec "Like the wind" before attempting GT All Stars.

It can be done with lesser cars, however, enjoy the headache and the raging. IMO it's not worth it.

For clearing "Like the Wind", a racemodded ZR1 is probably your best bet if you hav'nt gotten anything better for it. There's also people that use the Mazda Furai (lvl6 B-spec mazda event reward) for beating it.

Make sure to lower the rideheight as far as you can, stiffen the extension to 10 and the compression to 9. You might wanna play around a little with the downforce settings as well. This will make clearing "Like the wind" alot easier. And oh, set your car to the highest possible speed, since neither of those 2 tracks has a corner that requires you to shift down to the first gear.

Thanks Harley, one last question... how did you win "Like the Wind" race... which car did you use?

I used the Zonda R that B-Spec Bob won in a Different Championship

Same thing again

Turbo Stage 3**

Soft Race Slicks

Oil Change

Body Stifferning

Geared for something like 260 in case you need to Draft Pass anything faster

Secret to The Indy track is DON'T USE your BRAKES for any Corner just ease off the Throttle and hit the Apex's

For Daytona the Zonda R has the Handling needed for the Corners

Only Corner to be Wary of is the 1st Corner after the Start Finish Straight on the 2nd lap its really easy to go in way too Fast and its off Camber so if you Panic Brake you Understeer into the Wall or the Grass .

** Once you Stage 3 Turbo the Zonda it sounds like a flipping Vaccum Cleaner so maybe a set of Ear Plugs for yourself is a Good idea

The ZR-1 RM is also a somewhat affordable option if you don't have a capable car in your garage.

I have checked and looked at the list for the rewards that BOB is getting... I didn't see any ZONDA.... do you remember which Bracket (B-SPEC Pro, or in B-Spec-Expert)...?

I think I found it ,......

B-Spec Pro

GT World Championship: Pagani Zonda R '09 (P)

However, that is a race I have problems completing in A-Specs :(

B-Spec Gran Turismo World Championship, Professional Race Series. If you want to do it the easy way, get the Mazda Furai from the NR-A Roadster event to win the GT Worlds.

LOL I found it... however, I can't even complete it with my A-Spec drivers since all my cars suck...

Do you have hint on how to pass that race... by .... any ... chance? :nervous:

Which car did you use for the GT WC?

As I said, get the Furai from zhe B-Spec NR-A Roadster event. It'll rape that event.

Turn all the aid off, the highest TCS setting I use is 1-2 to get off the line and then its off. The aids really kill the drive coming up off of the corners when they are turned on.

The default setup really isn't too bad either, it has a little bit of low speed understeer in the slow 2nd gear corners if you try to muscle it through, but that can driven around pretty easily. The biggest issues that I had with the Minolta was from overdriving the car. It accelerates so smoothly and quickly that its easy to overdrive the corner entry and then it pushes all over the place as you give it more wheel trying to make the corner. Just make sure to back up your braking points and get it slowed down on entry. Drive it like you have an egg between your right foot and the gas pedal, being smooth off and on the throttle is key, you really can't use WOT until you are in 3rd gear unless the wheel and the car are pointed dead straight. Beating the pack by 10+ seconds should be no problem with this car.

NR-A Roadster Cup: Mazda Furai Concept’08 (S) Its only a 486 HP ... are you sure that thing beats the 900 + Horse power that are in that race?

Ok !!! I will try

Thanks

Btw... any setup you could recommend (for the Furai) ?

I gave this series another try last night after giving the turbo a bump to stage 3. I can't think of a better way to encapsulate how to drive the car than the good Dr. Wankel just described. I won the Grand Valley event although not by much as I was learning the braking points on the fly and fighting the urge to stomp on the throttle. If you focus on being smooth with this car its really hard to beat.

i used the veyron fully tuned. lowered it completely followed a tune i found on this forum somewhere that eliminated understeer and won every race except nurburgring.

Yeah...I beat the All Stars with the Furai. Get everything from the chassis strengthener to soft slicks. For the setup, just increase the top speed by two clicks, but for the Ring, put it to the max. This car will be so nimble, if you do not want to easily lose control, put the downforce to the max, but at the cost of speed. I did that only for the Ring.

Maxed out Furai is of the best cars in GT5!!!

It's basically a LMP racecar with a "street car" body on it, the real Furai used a Courage C65 chassis and the 20B they stuck in it made about 100HP more than the Courage was allowed to run in race trim so I'm not shocked it will clean up despite being at a power disadvantage.

Now if one would pop back up in the dealership, I've only seen it come up once and I didn't have the $$$ to buy it then. :grumpy:
