So whats GT Compete ? Its a place you can go for a quick race without any of the pressure, nothing happens in a hurry, and there is always plenty of time for the race to run. Sort of gives you time to decide when you feel like racing, within reason of course.
In its basic form, you are given a choice of races that all run over a certain time period. The catch is you can only enter a race once, and when you have made your choice and entered a race you will be given a time in which to complete that race and post your time before the deadline. Some time limits may be as short as ½ hour, while others may allow you to practice for maybe 24 hours before you need to submit your race time; it all depends on the type of race. So as you can see, sometimes there will only be enough time for one or two attempts at a race before you need to submit your time. All races are time stamped on entry, and also when you post your time. So if youve ever enjoyed racing other users online where you only get a couple of goes at a race, or a few laps (if your chasing a lap time) before you exchange times, then this is right up your alley.
One last thing, please remember you can only enter the race once and you may only post a race time once, (unless otherwise told so). Although it may be a pretty relaxed environment, we still expect the same OLR racing ethics, (we should all know what right by now) and any suspect times will be looked into.
For interests sake, once a race is finished all drivers who entered, along with their race times, will be posted in this thread. I will try to answer any questions in this thread if you have any problems, or you can email me at scuderiaf1_2000@yahoo.com.au
Above all, have FUN and get racing. :burnout:
