Hi everybody,
i'm a newbie and i just want to vent. I've been using GT force for about 2 1/2 yrs now and it started acting up. I've being using it for GT3, TXR3, pro race driver and NFS underground..etc sometimes when i'm deep braking into a corner or turning the wheel it won't let me downshift and also when i completly turn the steering wheel it will upshift by itself. It happens in all the games i use for it and i can't get consistent lap times with it cause i keep mising shifts either downshifting or upshifting. :grumpy: Why is it doing that? I wanted GT force pro but i keep holding off on that cause i'm worried it might be doing the samething

 just out of curiosity does the regular Driving Force wheel work with the Pc or only the pro?

The Pro is for the PS2. Which what the thing is for.

It works for the PC. you download a program of Logitech's site to make it work.

From what has been said about the new wheel, Logitech fixed the numerous bugs on the Blue wheel. The ones you described, are well known. Inability to shift when turning. Also one's you've likely suffered, but not noticed, are the random disconnections and the 75% braking power.

You;ll be much happier with the new wheel. Discard the blue wheel, and step up. Your times will improve.

The regular driving force works nicely when connected to the PC ( with the proper driver installed of course ).
I use it on my PC to play Colin Mcrae2, F1 career, Mobil Rally. I tried to used with the EPSXE playstation emulator ( I was hoping to play GT2 ) but there is a bug with EPSXE controller configuration routine.
Hell the driving force is even properly detected by ... Linux.
It even ( imho ) works better on the PC than on the PS2 :)

The GT Force/Driving Force wheel don't deserve a thread.

Do you have be an ass?

Seems like it. I've been using the GT Force since Christmas last year, I've had to downshifting problems, no problems at all. Other than I wouldn't mind a sportshift style gearbox, instead of paddle shifters. :indiff:

I hope not. Mine has the breaking and shifting problem right now. Most annoying. Guess I'll have to shell out the 150$ when GT4 comes out.
