Howdie All!!!

I've searched alot and I havent found a precise answer to my ceist.....

I'm a huuuuge Drift fan, currently the Irish D1 Photographer too and I cudn't wait to get my hands on GT4. I was a little dissapointed but how and ever, the show must go on.

I'm using a DS2 and finding dori very difficult, I always get tankslap coming out of a drift and usually end up facin the wrong direction :(

I'm considering buying a wheel, the GT3 Driving Force actually because I cant afford the DFP. Does anybody know if I'm better off to just stick it out with the DS2 or go for the DF?? I've seen a Vid of the HKS S15 with the DF and it was just savage!!

Hope someone can be of help to me!! :)
Those who do, I'll give you a 1280*1024 shot from last years D1 season ;)

Go for the DF... A wheel is always better than the controller. The video you probably saw was from someone still adapting to the physics. You go look at the Overdrive drifters. They make drifting look easy on both DF and DFP. :) The reason your tankslapping is the DS2 is very sensitive to the movement you make in your thumb, and if you counter-steer all the way, the car will flick out.
It may be harder than the DS2, But it's a hell of alot better. If your after a challenge and a bucketload of fun, use the wheel. If your just a casual, go DS2.
It's always better using a wheel. I can't stand Ds2 anymore. 👍

I believe you should just stick with the DS2 it is a lot eisier to drift with then any thing else but thats just my 2 cents

okay, i realy dont see the need for 3 (possibly more) threads discussing wheels on the first page.

here's two that might answer you

(i realize you're asking about the GT Force, but i think they might still offer some insight if you havent read them yet)

the feelings seem mixed. I just got the DFP yesterday, its a huge adjustment.
Some swear by the DFP for realism, other prefer the DS2 for quicker steering.

if you can, borrow a wheel from a friend and decide for yourself. I dont think its something you'll fully appreciate by reading.

I read the others before posting and wasnt happy with what I read. None of my mates are into drifting and none have the wheel either....

Thanks to the other guys for your help :)

Personally I'd be all for realism in the game but I know I wont get realism with a 200* wheel....

As promised...

Not a Great shot, one of the first from Round 1.....
