As I've played through the various GT's it shaped my opnion on certon cars.

In April I was playing as normal and checking the UCD. I went and bought the 2 door Impreza , after using it for a while I got curious about the cars in real life. After an hour or so of reading up I ended up winning an auction on ebay for an Impreza P1. ( I think it's the 22B in the game ). i had never driven one other than in GT. When I went to pic the car up it felt just like it did in the game.

So I was wondering have any of you bought a car in real life because of the game?

Mazda mx5 nbfl 04 last year... because its the starting car i took in every gt game from ps1 to now.... its pretty funny to drive but it hasnt enough power that sucks!

Not directly, but the first GT ignited my passion for performance vehicles back when I was 16.

For the longest time I had been enamored with custom vans (this is before they became associated with all the negativity they have now, mind you), though had always loved racing video games. Playing GT, seeing real-world cars in it, I was hooked. My first car ended up being a '85 Z31 300ZX (chassis not even in the series until GT4), and haven't looked back.

It's probably the same chassis as the 22b, but it's not a 22b. There were only like 200 22bs made and they had a special 2.2 liter engine whereas all other imprezas had 2.0 liter engines.

That P1 is the prodrive Impreza in the game. I think.

Awesome car to buy!

It was the shape of the 22b ( the 2 door shell rather than a 4 door ) that madse me look at that type of Impreza. The chassis are the same , the 22B has flaired arched ,2.2 Version 4 engine. The P1 has a different front splitter , rear wing is different. The P1 suspention is designed for the UK roads ( it's has more movement ). The Wheels are sepical OZ ones which were only for the P1.

Best way to explain it was the GT 22B inspired me to go out and get a Impreza of that era.
