Hi everyone
I know i haven't been here for a while, and I'm not about to read through that massive GT Legends thread, so here's my question:
Does GT Legends use StarForce? I have heard some really bad things about StarForce, like slowing down your CD/DVD drives till the point of mechanical failure and loads of other stuff i don't want to happen to my PC.
Does GT Legends use it? If it doesn't, i will buy this game for sure. It looks like a great game, but i want to make sure it doesn't use Starforce encryption first.
Thanks

P.S.: GT Legends does have damage, right? I haven't been able to find a pic with a smashed car yet.:)

I've never had any problems with it either, but I have heared the stories. I'd go for it, if you like realistic sim's it's worth a try especially now it's cheaper.

It's still $30, but it looks fantastic. It does have damage, right? Because then i'm sold.:)

has damage yes 👍

Decent enough not to bounce off walls, but not that senstaive that you can have a bit of rubn with your competitors. Its a great balance 👍

The menu music in the demo actually makes me feel ill, literally. Just that yuck harsh little riff repeating over and over....

I like GTR much more, just seems like the classier game overall.

I don't really feel that the physics in either game is as far advanced as its made out to be - it still feels like a game IMO. Certainly not a MASSIVE improvement on GT4, it doesn't really feel like you're driving a car anymore convincingly, it just does some different aspects that GT4 doesn't, and does some worse (like the entire presentation aspect).

The engine sounds and whiney transmission sounds are great, however.

@ Raghavan

Why didn't you just ask your question in the GTL thread instead of starting a whole new thread about the same subject (==> GTL). We would have answered your question with pleasure if you asked it in the GTL thread. That's why the GTL thread is there, to ask and answer questions.:) ;)

Sorry, but there were multiple questions going on in there, so i thought it'd get a bit confusing. Besides, the answers to my questions won't get lost in that huge thread.

I have to agree. Sometimes it's a bit confusing.

Just turn the music off then. :sly:

I bought the game daybefore yesterday, and i love the sounds! Makes me redline the car just to hear the sounds. I also love that you have to push the clutch in when in 1st or you'll stall. Pretty cool i think
Great game imo.:)

I know Simbin isn't a huge company, and piracy does nibble away at their profits, but the publishing community really needs to bite the bullet and drop copy protection. From every report I've seen, piracy is a marginal issue of 5% or so, but copy protection software woes seem to affect a huge percentage of the gaming public. I have a dual layer DVD writer, and I intend for it and WindowsXP to be as bug free as... Windows can be. :p

No more Simbin games for me till they drop that idiotic software virus.

ugh.....i bought the game but it freezes for me at the beginning menu, same thing with GTR, i have XP with all the updates and i have a ATI 9550 in case that helps, any ideas?
i have been dying to play the game, GTR used to work on my old (R.I.P.) computer that ran windows 2000 with no issues and so did the demo for GT legends, not even the demo works for me on the new comp.
