GT Mobile + GPS = Real Replays? Just an idea...

Just had this crazy thought that if I had GT Mobile in my car whilst I drove the Nurb, and it tracked my car via GPS, it could create a Replay file that I could upload to GT5 and watch back from outside the car!
 
GPS makes maps of places and tells you where you are. It can't create real images of places. So, not possible.
 
Sounds like that thing that Dutch company (I think, anyway) were working on; a GPS tracker in a real racing car used in a real race translated into a virtual environment, so you could race (presumably ghost versions of), say, Lewis Hamilton around Suzuka or something.

I think you missed the point ;)

You could record your location with a GPS device and then the PSP could make a file of it that the PS3 can read and show it to you virtually on the track that you drove :)

Possible? Yes. Similiar software available? Yes. Will it happen in GT Mobile? Unlikely :D
