I have a question which I am afraid has come up before probably, but I can't find a definite answer:

Are there any penalties in GT offline mode for crashing, cutting corners? I am at level 34 and have never been penalized.

Nor do I have tyre wear and burning up petrol during 20 lap races...

Am I missing some setting? I have gone through the settings quite a few times now.

Hope someone can show me the light!

You don't have penalties on offline mode (gt mode). You do have pen's in online, if the room owner chooses so, and of course on some special events.
You don't have tyre wear, because it's only available on Endurance series, and rarley on Extreme series. So does petrol, only Endurance.
