Does anyone else have a high rate of front tire wear with the GT One Race car?

I won one in a series, so took it out for a couple of races. Made no adjustments other that to turn ASM and TCS off. Ran a 5 lap race and noticed that while the rear were still blue, the front was green already. When the Rear was green, the front was yellow.

So next race I changed the Downforce on the front and softened the front springs. Same thing. Next I stiffened the front springs. Same problem.

I just thought it was odd, as I've never seen tire wear so unbalanced on a car before.
 
hmm. strange one.. if its not the car setup.. maybe its your driving style :trouble:

i would expect the rears to go first seeing as teh motors at the back and its a very light car. the fronts should last a while.
 
The fronts do alot of the work. When you brake the weight shifts to the front, the wheels to the steering and are moving alot as well...
 
oh yeah, that too :) cus its them front brakes would have a lot of weight and speed to stop..
 
hehe my tyres wear fast on all my cars but i suppose thats because of my odd driving style and i use stock settings
 
:D I run LOTS of enduros & ALL my high powered cars are hard on front tires. Maybe it's my "late breaking" driving style??? What I do is just run one number SOFTER Tire on the REAR (ie. T2/T3). That way they heat up & wear out uniformly. Works for me!!!...UB57:D
 
Super-soft tires make a car go faster, but damage so easily, do you use meeekael? That's probably why your tires wear out so fast! Meeekael, if you're 99.3% done, why don't you just finish off the game?? No use in just leaving it when you are so close to finishing, but it's your choice!!!:)
 
It's not the driver or the setup - it's the car. We ran GT-One vs 787b vs R390 in 6 player i.link last week and the Toyota chewed it's front tyres to bits long before the other two regardless of driver. All cars were stock with std bhp.
 
Add a bit more downforce to the front to help correct the understeer that's causing the tires to wear quickly. It's normal for a mid or rear engine car to have some understeer because most of the weight is in the rear so the front end pushes a bit more.
 
lol i need to change my signature aye......yea i use T2's but i brake real late o i suppose that wreaks my tyres....i will finish the game now.....do i have 2 do all the tim trials cause im stuck on tahiti maze....ive done the others just not that one.....curses i hate rally mode
