So many things wrong with this thread:

1) Nothing to do with GT5
2) Wrong Section
3) M5 is not made to compete with the GT-R
4) Acceleration comparo is an obvious giveaway, you only need to look at the specs
5) It is a great car, but the GT-R does not eat everything, there are 50+ cars that are faster.

The Zr1 can't keep up with it until it turns into purely a power race,
and the ACR is not as good.. period

It lost because its cheaper, and isn't really in the same league as a high-tech Japanese supercar.

You say this like its fact lol. Maybe on GT5 but reality says otherwise. Search lap times on tracks like Laguna Seca, Nurburgring, VIR, MMP etc and see which stock cars hold records there.

This is just 3 real life tracks and you will notice that neither the ZR1 nor the ACR have a problem with the any year GTR on certain tracks. Its not close especially with the ACR so dont know how you can say with a straight face the GTR is better performance-wise "period". Also look at what the Gallardo 560-4 did to the GTR on VIR. I prefer real life results to the supposed "real driving simulator" or fan hype

Now on short technical courses the GTR will give anything a run for the money. Its is a monster and losing to some of these cars does not diminish that fact. But that doesn't mean it will definitely win as evidenced by the results at Willow Springs - http://www.fastestlaps.com/tracks/willow_springs.html

Look at some of the cars that are very close to the GTR's time. Some are old geezers. Look at the cars that beat it.

Sometimes track configuration determines the winner. RWD and AWD have pros and cons depending on track.
