I just recently got gt5 and I'm currently saving up for an R35. I noticed though that there's quite a lot of GT-R's in the dealership (or I may just be used to the psp version with the spec v and the prototype only)
I was wondering;
1) Is the spec V worth the 80000 credits more than the regular GTR?
2) Can the regular GTR be tuned to the 860hp potential of the spec V?
3)What about the black edition? Is it worth it?
4)Is it better to buy the tc than fully tuning the road car?
5) Finally, any tips regarding the gtr? tips on driving on certain tracks, doing a spec/b spec events etc.
Hmm, it depends...
1) Personally, the SpecV isn't really worth the extra 80,000 unless you are collecting or want a little bit more power out of a full tune.
2) Unfortunately, I can't remember off the top of my head, but it can be tuned to a fairly high level.
3) The black edition, if I remember, is a little bit grippier and a tad more powerful.
4) The R35 TC is an amazing car. If you have the money to spend, it is worth it. It handles a lot better than a fully tuned GT-R (Unless you really know how to tune a car well) and the gear changes are ridiculously quick
5) Because it is 4WD and not exactly light, you will get a fair amount of understeer so just try not to push it too much in the bends.
The R35 TC is one of the highest performing cars in GT5. It borders on ridiculous.
For credits use the Seasonal Events. Check the Seasonal Events thread. There's so much easy money in GT5 now that you could get all the Premium GTR's in short order.
No don't get the Prototype wasted credits really. It's not really even a Premium (no in car view).. Get the Spec V. 👍 Trade for one if credits are an issue.💡 Or better yet, win it with all gold medal license tests.
I heard you can get free GT Academy GT-R's in the marketplace...
The Black is DLC and if you bought the XL-Edition(US) you get it free. I'm not sure what versions are available to you but the black edition is DLC and cost's real money to get it and a handfull of other cars.
You'll be able to get them all if you play enough seasonal events. Giving rewards of 500,000+ Cr for the Super GT and 15/03 650pp Events. The R35TC can net you sub 1.8 seconds 0-100km/h when fully tuned on Racing Medium tyres. The SpecV gives you the cool stock black Ray's wheels and black rear wing for a different look. Other than that they're all cool and you can definitely make yours unique with the amount of wheels and body kit combos.
My only tip would be to remove most of the downforce at the rear so it still has the low-speed grip of a 4WD car but is much happier to stick its tail out which makes it easier to handle through the bends.
Depends what you want it for. For me horrible cars to drive on the whole, but the TC is like a cheat car and surely borders on the improbable. If you just want fast, this would be a good choice.
