Is it just me or is the new Caterham R500 incompatible as a Sophy opponent at Brands Hatch?

Would have been peak in VR with a one make Caterham race, such a shame if it isn’t at the moment.

Have any of the power pack cars been made to be Sophy compatible yet or the F3500-B? I'm at work at the moment and can't check.

Quick test filling up a Sophy grid at Spa with known pre-update incompatible cars...

All cars up to and including 1.70 seem to be now compatible with Sophy, including the ones you can acquire from the Powerpack.

Potential particular track/car incompatible combos may remain (there're a couple already known).

Also, the cars from this 1.71 update, the Caterham, Chaser etc, are not still Sophy compatible... But the glitch for a one make grid picking it as you current car can be applied to them.

This is AWESOME news!! Thanks for finding this out! Definitely answered my question!

Wanted to test the new physics with my pseudo MFG grid, looks like they added some new road cars like the 2018 Vantage but removed the 2018 Focus RS:

Power Pack cars are a win! My Mustang AR Trans-Am grid is go. Setting up the Hakosuka cars with the rest of the 1970s gang is going to be nuts. N2 grids with all AE86s was a dream and now reality. Finally!

This update is overwhelming in a good way! I don't know where to start! lol

The R35 GT-R safety car has a compatibility issue now. I was using it as my "rabbit" car for some custom races at Road Atlanta, and I just tried to run another race with the same settings after the update and it's not compatible anymore.

The list of incompatible cars has been updated for 1.71. It has been done with the best of my ability, so let me know if there are any mistakes.

Notes:
  • This update has made most of the post-update cars compatible with each track; however, all tracks now have a completely different set of incompatible cars across the whole car list.
  • Just like pre-1.71, there are some pretty unusual findings.
    • For example: In a track, the Toyota GR86 can be incompatible, but it's the opposite for its brother, the Subaru BRZ. Even one different year of the 86 GT / GR86 / BRZ can be incompatible.
  • None of the cars that were added in the 1.71 update are compatible with GT Sophy.
  • Brands Hatch, Tsukuba Circuit, and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca have the least amount of incompatible cars.
  • The Dodge Tomahawk GTS-R VGT, which was once incompatible in all tracks, is now compatible in most tracks now. The Tomahawk X is still incompatible.
  • The workaround to having incompatible cars on the grid has not been patched.

Nice to see that the Power Pack cars are compatible with GT Sophy as well! I don't have the Power Pack DLC, so I can't confirm whether the Power Pack cars are incompatible in each track.

Welp, the Dodge Challenger ‘70 can’t be used by GT SOPHY at Sardegna Road Track B any longer.

😒 😒 😒 💩

I'd love to know what they changed. Is it some type of midway conversion to Sophy 3.0? Because, it doesn't make sense that the cars would change so much (behaviour and availability)

Edit - The Jaguar XJR9 is not longer available with Sophy at Le Mans. Sophy used to lose the rear all the time. I've noticed that the Sophy cars all kind of wiggle (more) on all the straights. It's really noticeable with Group C and F1. It appears Sophy makes constant steering corrections rather than holding the steering steady towards the next corner.
