Hello everyone,
just doing as the email asks and introducing myself.
As the title suggests, I've owned every incarnation of Gran Turismo since GT1 first came out for the PS1 - the good old days!!
What more can you say about this series, apart from AWESOME!!! .... shame it took so long for GT5 to finally make its way into the public domain.
Every game in the series has been great but I must admit, GT1 is still my all time favorite. Maybe it was because it was the first and there had never been anything like it before but I'm more inclined to believe that it was more to do with the fact that you could race mod every single car in the game ....... unlike the more recent incarnations. Hopefully the progammers might resolve that issue with later updates.
Still unsure about this levelling up system. Its kinda made the licenses pointless apart from getting the extra cars for completing them. I was always a fan of GT being a driving simulator inlcuding the fact that you need to get the corresponding license before you could compete in a particular race - just like real life.
Those gripes aside, the good definately outweighs the bad. This game has definately been worth the wait, if only for the Top Gear test track alone! just need to find myself a Suzuki Liana and try for the leaderboard.
Quality, just quality!
