I cant enter the gtwc and I won all the races help!!11!!1!

Jk, I bet you thought that was the question I was gonna ask though. Actually Im looking for AI ranking, data, pit strategies etc. I searched but couldnt find anything. I ask because I am thinking about attempting the series in a stock Oreca Viper. Do you guys think it will be possible to get a overall points win? Im gonna try to get an extremely easy lineup, hopefully nothing worse than the Nissan R390.

Well I think Im gonna give up on this dream.

I spent about an hour trying to get an easy lineup and the best I could get was the Toyota GT-One and some other slower cars. Unfortunately I accidently started the first race without qualifying so I gave up on that.

Ill most likely just run this in the Bentley Speed 8 which looks to be good enough for some pretty easy wins.

Just a little update on this:

I actually did attempt this again and won. It was by far the most difficult series of racing Ive done in GT4. It took me forever, but I finally got the following lineup:
Toyota GT-One
Gillet Vertigo
BMW Mclaren F1
Chevy Camaro LM
Chapparal 2D

I dont think it would have been possible with any other lineup. The GT-One was the biggest challenge. The Vertigo and the Mclaren were both faster than me, but the Vertigo crashed a lot and the Mclaren had terrible pit strategy. I won 6 out of 10 races and each race was EXTREMELY close, usually around 1 sec difference. I spent a ton of time tuning for each individual race and had to drive at the absolute best of my ability. Pit strategy and tire choice were critical.

But yeah, if anyone else was wondering, it IS possible to win the GTWC with a stock Oreca Viper, though you have to be sure to get the easiest lineup possible . Id imagine it could be done in comparable cars too such as the Vette 5R, Mclaren F1, etc.

If youre looking for a serious challenge, I recommend giving this a try.

i found it really easy to get good (bad) cars to race against.

I had no Nissans, no GT1
no sauber

My biggest competitior was the Mazda 787B

- About pitting, i just pit when they do - i mean closest competitior or leader- or a lap earlier (if i knew when they were going to pit) worked for me fine!

Isnt the 787B way faster than the GT-One? I always thought the GT-One was one of the slowest prototypes, since well its actually a GT car not a LMP. Same goes for the Mercedes CLK-GTR and the Nissan R390. Im pretty sure thoes are the easiest competition you can get in the GTWC, youll always be racing at least one LMP, Group C, or one of the cars above.

As for pitting, the AI has terrible pit strategy, sometimes even pitting on the 2nd to last lap. I usually pitted excatly half way through the race, or in some cases it was better to run Hard tires and not pit at all. Not following the AI pit strategy is the key reason I was able to win 6 out of the 10 races.

The 787B has lower weight than the GT-0ne (830kg vs. 900kg), AND it has higher power than the GT-0ne also (803bhp vs. 789bhp). However, in the hands of the AI, the GT-0ne is worthless.
