I was checking on Amazon to see if I could get a copy of GT1 (Platinum) within £7-£10. Whilst I was checking, I saw a new copy of it and I was thinking "Wow, they sure have managed to preserve that." But then I saw the price. It cost all of £29.99, including, of course, the £1.94 shipping that Amazon provides. That makes a total of £31.93. I was wondering how on earth they could still have a new copy of Gran Turismo, yet keep it at a price that quite a few handheld games are sold at today. I'd say that the used items are probably the best to stick to, because of this. My point is that some companies just don't quite...well, get it sometimes.

That is crazy!!

You do sometimes find this with DVD's and music as well. Get it a couple of months after release and it's half price. But try to get it a year later and it's more than it was when it first came out. Madness.

I reckon someone found an old box of games in the back of their warehouse and thought they might as well try to flog them online :D

Exchange rate isn't too far of 1:1. They've probably just put it on its RRP, and as its game that may claim classic status it'll be interesting to see what shape the second hand market is in.

GT1 is a Gran Turismo artefact now. It will cost alot.

Roo

GT1 is still worth $45. With all the hours of fun I got from my copy (which cost $14.99 and which I played for an average of about 6 months--perhaps 4 hours a day) it wound up costing two pennies a day.
