I was looking through my official guide for GT3, when I found out a weird thing about the Toyota GT1s. The '99 Road Car has 638hp and 495lb-ft of torque, while the '99 Race Car has 591hp and 479lb-ft of torque. Though it doesn't show at how much RPM they are. Oh, and they both weigh 900kg. This was not the case with the Nissan R390 GT1. The race car had a lot higher stats.

Which one has better handling? Does it tell you that?

I drove both, and I can tell you that both of them handle the same.

hmmm "RACE" CAR vs "ROAD" CAR.....

i dunno know.....................;)

just a little FYI...the road GT1 costs 50 g's more than the Race Car....at 500000.....:thatsodd:

I'm sure once you've tuned them the race car is more powerful.

Both handle the same and the race car looks better

In Smokealot's prize car list he has The Road Car @ 617hp and The Race Car @684hp.

The Book might be wrong.

yup the strategy guide has a history of being wrong about his kinda stuff!

In GT3, I can't comment. However, in RL, this is the case a lot of the time, since the race cars have to run with inlet restrictors which haul the power back down to try and level the playing field. Another RL car for which this is the case is the McLaren F1.

Yea I'm thinkin its the same case as the McLaren. You see the F1 Road Car could go much faster than its Le Mans counterpart the GTR which did about 30mph less.

The McLaren F1 also had more hp than the GTR due to FIA regulations. The GTR only had 600 while the F1 had around 630-640hp

Yeah Im thinkin its cause of the regulations.
