Hi All,

I am just curious if its just me who has issues with their GT2 so thought I would start a poll to guage how many wheels work perfectly and how many have issued. Dont get me started on their support, or lack of, but thats a different issue.

Well Mine has on occasions failed to power up, Lost FFB in Forza3, and Now the cooling fan is somehow vibrating so much you can feel it through the wheel!!

It's going back.. I can't even email support at fanatec without removing it from the chassis as I need the serial number off the bottom... I've had three fanatec wheels, this is the first one I've had a problem with.. shame cause I think it's the best feeling one of them all :( lets see how the support goes.

I have already received my replacement GT2, and it still does not power up correctly. BUT, it might be the power supply not built for US power outlets. The wheel fires up after turning it a few times in each direction no problem though.

This only occurs when cold, and unused for a few hours/while. If during gameplay, turning off/on is not an issue. I have had no other issue than that. I am going to contact support and Thomas on this to try and figure it out.

The wheel is Fuc*ing phenom by the way. Holy hell. If you think Logitech can even be compared, then you and I are on 2 different planets. This is coming from a former momo/G25 owner. Need to get the clubsport pedals though, pronto.

Hi All,

Good to see majority dont have issues. My issue is more often than not wont power up for a good 20 mins, when it does the fan makes a horrible grinding noise until warmed up and FFB often dies in forza after about 45 mins play.

Is a great wheel when works but the issues are causing me to give up on racing games tbh, taking the enjoyment out of it.

Emailed support 2 weeks ago now with 0 response, apart from automated. Emailed again after a week but still no response, followed their step by step process to the letter so if no response after 2 weeks is fast and smooth would hate to see what a slow response is.

Fanatec if you are listening FFS sort it out!!

Hi,

Has anyone else had any of these issues which occur sometimes with my GT2 Clubsport package as a whole:

- Wheel sometimes after being off for a certain amount of time not powering up initially until i pull the power cord out then back in, then powers up
- H - Pattern shifter sometimes not recognised ingame (calibrated properly) and needs to be unplugged and then plugged back in and a reboot of wheel then it works
- And finally the clubsport pedals, the brake sometimes has about 5-10% pressure being jammed on then dissapears and returns randomly

Do you guys reckon i should contact support and ask for a replacement for the whole set or not?

These little problems are a regular occurence but sometimes will not happen so im not sure whether to go through the process of a replacement so i would like to get your guys thoughts on the situation,

Thanks

I have the 888 calibration problem upon startup. It sometimes happens but usually its ok.

I think i may have solved it by holding down the xbox button while powering on, but i will need to confirm this a few more times.

Mine Developed the Spinning Optical Wheel Issue after about a year of use. 30 screws later and some epoxy applied with a toothpick, its good as new.

I bought it back in december 2010 and when I recieved it didn´t worked on the PC despite doing everything the manual told me to do, a long story short I got my money back.

Hi

Just a quick one to say I had a replacement gt2 shipped week before last just managed to set it up (been mental at work). And it powers up after a matter of seconds every time and feels much better with no funny noises.

I never did get a reply from support ended up dealing with Armin who was helpful and authorised the replacement.

A shame support us poor when needed as is a brilliant product based on my new working one so don't give up pestering support and if you don't get anywhere contact the main email address. Getting a bit ****ty may help especially if you have waited weeks for a reply
