gt27 best setup for the $?

I've been doing some research the last few days over these threads and I seem to keep coming up with the conclusion that the g27 is the best buy for my money. Is this correct? I mean about $200- $250 for a good ffb wheel, pedals and shifter? (is that a 6 speed, 5 speed, or h shifter?). Before I spend the money, do you all have any other suggestions? Are there any other better wheel/ pedal/ shifter combos better for that amount of money? If so what are they? If there isn't a better combo in this price range, what is the next best cheapest alternative. PS3 only, going to build a small cockpit setup. Thanks.
 
I bought a G27 and love it, (by the way it comes with a 6 speed shifter, and 6 speed and h shifter are the same things), the CSR has better force feedback and more adjustable pedals if you go with the CSR pedals, but it doesn't come with a shifter. But with fanatec products you can always get better pedals/wheel later as all their stuff is modular.
 
Thanks gdog... But the other wheel combos would almost double the price right? guess im getting closer to a g27
 
G27, I have had a DFGT and a G27. It is a solid wheel and it will last a while. I've had mine 4 years and I still haven't broken it. Plus when you get to the point of building a cockpit the pedals are engineered to be taken out and mounted upside down, plus it has a H gate shifter it it is a beautiful wheel.

And the cockpit keeps evolving, this is about 3 mods ago which the whole bottom has changed.
