Wassup, hey I finally got my PS2 wit GT3 (3 days late, dam u Fed Ex Bastards!!! AHHH!!) Well any way I was looking at the locla Best Buy ad, and it showed GT3 with a blue car on the cover box. The one I got is red (a red car's headlight). I got the PS2 GT3 racing package. I know it's not Japanese cuz it says NTSC|U/C. Anyway, thanx 4 reading. Let me know if anybody else got this cover box.

AAHHHHHHH.............not funny at all a-hole. Just sumthin I wanted to mention. Maybe I coulda sold it to some sucker who thought it was the Japanese version. Oh well your not worth gettin mad, come to the NOPI Nationals in Ga, and I'll show how I really race.

Well, I think my POST was nothing to get mad over! GA is too far away, and I dont remember mentioning how you race. And if you do race, why do you have a GSR?

Hmm, I'm guessin your not into fixing up cars in real life like you are into GT3. And a Integra GSR? Not for Racing? U really must not know what that engine is capable of, V-TEC baby! If u really did know bout fixing up cars, u would know that u could fix up yo car to aleast 450 hp while still street legal. The GSR about up to 550 still street legal. And it's not as expensive as the tune ups in GT3. If not Ga, go to NOPI REGIONALS, Hot Import nights, or Hot Import Daze. Many around the US.

Um I am, u must think I'm pissed or somthing. Just don't say that A GSR isn't for racing, thatz all :). Replacement for Displacement is V-TEC!!!! And a T3 ball-bearing turbo doesn't hurt either.

Heh,
seems to me that 98IntegraGSR just wants to pick a fight just to get noticed ... Hey I bought the game Black&White and I got a black box, my friends have a white box ... WHEEEEEEEEEE I'M SPECIAL !!!!
smartass.

Did in amateur the third race ( i think GT world) It's a 10 race series. Lost the damn series with freakin 1 point, goddamnit @}#{ I hate Supra (and tires that wear off)

That is the GT3 PS2 bundle package. It has the GT3 game included in the purchase of PS2. It should be cheaper than you buy them separately.

Well obviously you did not read my signature, and you dont know what an Se-R is. And by the way, the SR20DE motor will support much more horsepower and TORQUE, of which you have none, than your 1.8 or 1.7 VTEC. And there is no replacement for displacement.

he he he, oh hellll naw :) wasn't tryin to make this whole thing a big deal, just tryin to poin out somethin. Maybe I got the Diablo in my game. Who knows, programmers always hide somethin. Any way I just said that a GSR can go up that much cuz it's only 1.8, and what Supra's TT engine's are like ummm I think in the 3's. Correct me if I'm wrong aight. I mean my thing is I'm runnin less cylinders than Supra's, Mustangs, etc and with some $ and wrench time I could keep up or maybe even smoke some of these cars. You know, the underdawg. Like some of the proffesional Drag racers, their running 8's and 9's on Honda/Acura cars. I'm not saying the Supra isn't powerful, hell I take a N/A one and supe it up. Heell yeah. aight let's end this thang before we start agruin' for no reason.

i know why it is...

Its very simple...

The gt3 that comes with the ps2 is red because it is not for resale

and the one you buy is blue....

SEE!!!! SIMPLE

(disclaimer: this post is in no means ment to be insulting, arguementative, or demeaning, It is just my humble opinion and such. Please do not become angry over it, it is meant purely as an opinion (or advice :)) from me)

Ok, I am getting sick to my stomach reading about how v-tec is the replacement for displacement. You know there is a reason the fastest drag cars have huge engines, more ballz. Even though I much prefer a well tuned 3.0 inline 6 over any 350ci V8 I also know that a car that only produces power ovr 6k or 7k rpms (correct me if I'm wrong) could not out accelerate a car that produces power in a usable place, such as 2k or 3k rpm.
The only thing that keeps a car moving is torque. That is all an engine produces. HP is based on the speed of the engine.
you may produce more hp at 7500rpms that some cars but that is solely due to your engine's ability to hold it's reletively low torque up to 8000rpm. There is an equation that determines hp based on torque and rpm. Find the equation in the SAE Automotive Handbook, which i assume you know well. While you are waiting to get to your peak power the guy with the 6000rpm redline is smoking your ass. Here is a little table to help out. (these are stock dyno ratings from an integra GSR)

RPM Stock HP
3000 60.2
3500 68.6
4000 77.3
4250 82.1
4500 86.3
4750 95.0
5000 99.5
5250 105.6
5500 110.4
5750 116.3
6000 129.2
6250 131.2
6500 135.0
6750 138.3
7000 140.4
7250 142.8
7500 144.3
7750 143.8

I don't mean to be demeanig in any way with this post. I do love the b18 engines. A friend of mine just recently bought a 96 GSR and I had to teach him about it, so I do know my s**t, well enough anyway. If you love tuning your car, don't ever let anyone stop you, ever. I had an 89 saab with less then 100hp and more then 170k miles ad I worked on the ****er till the day I killed it (which is another long story that may come at another time).

And just a reminder:
"And a T3 ball-bearing turbo doesn't hurt either."
vs.
"hell I take a N/A one and supe it up. Heell yeah."

N/A means no t3 turbo.

Keep on working on the car, and try not to brag about v-tec, we all know it is good for the small dispalcement honda engines.

A lot of times race cars have v-tec disabled because they would never drop their rpms low enough to engage the low cam lobe. I still like NA engines though more than a turbo, so much fun reving them high. The only way to build a good NA engine is to bump up the bore to increase displacement but keep the same stroke while increasing its head flow and bottom end strength. That way you can have the best of both worlds, high revs and good torque. Keep tuning your GSR though, great car to drive, great engine when its plopped into a civic hatch too. :)

Hey man, I'm with ya all the way.. And what you explained is exactly what I'd like to do with my spare engine. I've got a spare K8 engine on my front porch. (1.8L Mazda v6) I'd love to sleeve it for 86mm pistons, stock stroke, maybe beefier rods, get some nasty cam regrinds, solid lifters, and big ports. Of course I'd need larger injectors and a stand alone computer system to go with. By calculation, it would turn it from a tame 1.8 into a 10k rpm, NA screamer!!!! Sounds like a Spoon contender to me, and for much cheaper :) Now, just to find money and time  LOL

it is so nice to find some people that truly understand what they are talking about. None of this "I added the venom control unit to my car" or "I added a 500lb body kit to my car. I bet it is faster then yours!"
Makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.
Thanks guys
