GT3 Compatible Wheel List

Please post the wheels you have used with the PS2 console or that you know work with the PS2. New or old. Don't matter.
Say what you want about the wheels you have used.

My new MadCatz wheel is more trouble than it's worth so I'm probably taking it back tomorrow.
Just wanna know my options as to what wheels can be used with GT3.
I'll even keep a list updated of all the wheels that you guys state.

As follows:
- MadCatz MC2
- MadCatz MC2 Universal (had adapters for most newer systems)
- Logitech GT Driving Force
- Logitech GT Driving Force Pro
- Logitech WingMan Formula Force GP

There's a start...

-Pedals squeak like hell.

-Gas is floored in the game about 3cm before the actual pedal is floored.

-Shifter double shifts when I push the stick shift forward (shift up), meaning instead of going from 2nd to 3rd it will go from 2nd to 4th really quickly, even though the shifter thing only clicks one time.

-No force feedback (I thought it had this feature for some reason).

-Akward button placement while actually driving. By making the transition from Dual Shock to Steering Wheel, I lost the ability to e-brake while drifting.

Shall I go on?

The only item I want right now is the Driving Force Pro, but that seems out of my reach because it is so rediculously expensive.

I don't understand why the PS2 USB perhiphrials aren't cross-compatible with computer USB ports and vice versa.

It's like, "spend more money. No convenience for you."

Hmm.. I have used both of the GT wheels (Logitech ones) on my PC. Still testing the DF Pro out but..

But...

Hmm. Well, if I return this wheel and get a refund and combine it with what I have now, I should have around 170 canadian dollars for a different wheel.

The Driving Force is around $137CAD after tax but I like having the shifter, which is something the DF doesn't have.

Sorry. I've been awake for 42 hours and I seem to have forgotten where I was going with this post.

MC2 for playstation, seems to cause a lot of problems for a few people here.
Madcatz cause lots of problem not only for people here, but also for lots of XBOX owners. I used to have one for XBOX, but it seriously was problematic. Their design or quality control must be crap. Anything from Madcatz are waste of money.

I'm using the Logitech GT Driving Force, works pretty good, but I'm waiting for GT4 to come out so I can get the Driving Force Pro because it supports 900 degree turning (~2 1/2 turns lock-to-lock)

Too bad 900 degree doesn't work on GT3... :(

yes, go ahead :p

My opinion is that MadCatz MC2 is one of the best wheel in control section. I've tried my cousin's Microsoft Force Feedback wheel, and it wasn't for me. But I don't disagree that MadCatz isn't a "fixer's wheel"
My MadCatz has broken many many times, but I've got somekind of relation with it, and I just fix it when it breaks
I may have to acknowledge that I like it a lot.

One thing that I love it in, is that you can repair it whatever there goes broken, it's technic is so simple. What are you going to do to your brand new Force Feedback Momo when it goes broken ;) If it just go.

Most Microsoft hardware sucks ass.
I just returned my MC2 today and replaced it with a new DS2 controller and Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 :D

You are like me with controllers.

I take out my abundance of anger upon things I know can either be repaired or replaced inexpensively. For example: the permanent black marker that I whipped at my wall, which in turn exploded and created a black the size of my thumb which needs to be hidden before my grandparents return

Anger = Bad

Street Fighter: I really would like to know, how did you noticed this:

"Gas is floored in the game about 3cm before the actual pedal is floored."

If you just looked at the digital dashboard, then you were wrong. Because you can easily notice when the gas is completely floored without looking the dashboard. And it isn't floored before the actual pedal is floored.
