A WRC style Rally

The cars

Focus Rally car
Escort Rally car
Impreza Rally car
Impreza Rally car prototype
Evo VI Rally car
Evo VII Rally car prototype
206 Rally car
Corrolla Rally car

The event:

The event will be run like a real rally with the times from each stage added together the driver with the lowest overall time at the end of the rally will be the winner.
Each stage will be run from a standing start over one or more laps of a circuit, over the course of a week. Stages will be run in simulation mode of GT3.

Sounds fun. But why simulation mode? Just wondering...I mean, some people don't have rally cars. Not in GT3 anyways. ;)
 
simulation mode requires better driving skills and should therefore be more challenging ;) any how a few of the rally cars can be bought for around 300,000 credits so I don't see a problem ;)

Been thinking about the cars.....no mods (you can only buy bigger turbo's) will be allowed to maintain a fair power to weight ratio....and a realistic power out put (around 300 to 315 bhp) all adjustable parts fitted to the cars can be used :D
 
Nice! Ive never seen a rally series before. I'd definently be interested.
 
When I carried out a search 2 previous WRC events came up but nothing for this year so thus the reason for this thread....
did think there would be a little more interest....early days at the mo.......

will add that I am thinking of adding a couple of tarmac stages to the rally so its not completely run in the dirt and provides a chance to set the cars up in a different way.....
 
Yeah...people just dont have as much intrest in rally for some reason. For a tarmac course may I suggest Deep Forest? Fowards or backwords, doesnt really matter, but ive always thought that track would've been better as a rally track anyways, its got so many ups and downs and bumps in the road
 
yeah.....I'd got two choices for the tarmac stage Deep forest or Trial Mountain :) as these have the closest appearence to a tarmac rally stage :)

Not sure if this is going to go ahead for a while yet.....other things keeping me busy ;)
