GT3 RS V2 Clamp Issue

Hello all, I have an issue with my GT3 wheel. The Desk Clamp it comes with won't go in all the way, it gets stuck about half way. I don't want to force it in because all the internals are there and I'd rather not be without a wheel for a week.

This really isn't a huge huge deal. Tomorrow I'm heading over to get some supplies to fab my own cockpit, but I want it just in case I don't have the cash to get something yet.

There's no wires or anything else on its way, so just play with it and it goes in at some point. Make sure that table clamp's knob is pretty loose.
 
Mine seemed to be really awkward to move around, it would move out a little but not all the way, then it went out all the way and wouldn't close far enough. It's just really touchy, keep wiggling it and maybe fiddling with the knob.
 
The teeth on the clamp may be catching a bit. Make sure the knob is nice and loose and tilt the wheel towards you and down a bit, which may help a little.
