How do you move videos from PS2 to computer without firewire or sharkport?

I do it like this: I use the output cable of PS2 (have yellow out and s-video out in it) to plug in into my computers VIDEO-IN plug (I have GF4 4800 1128MB VIVO), and use windows movie maker to record the video. For audio I connect red and white plug into converter and that into sound card audio-in plug. works like a charm.

So , you need a card, with video-in ability. Usually that are TV Tuner cards or graphic cards with VIVO (video in, video out) option.

yeh, that's it
i have an ATI pci TV Wonder Pro, so I do my captures with that. Was about $100 CDN.
conversely, if you dont want to spend that (which really isnt that much anyways...) or if you dont have a spare pci slot, there are some USB 2.0 devices that can also be employed in the same fashion. However, the quality of the USB devices tends not to be as good as PCI since the data transfer speeds are 4x to 8x slower. So no lossless dvd encoding then :yuck:, but still quite capable of capturing a GT3 replay.
