Well, here it is boys and girls. The first poll for this competition. I know some of you are gonna say that it's not as fair as some of the other competitions here. That once a user has rated a photo it doesn't keep them from rating it again. And that could result in an entry making the poll that might not "belong" in the poll. Unfortunately, there's no way to "monitor" or "regulate" the rating system that ImageShack has in place. And to ask one person to select the poll would be asking for trouble because one person's idea of a wonderful piece of ART wouldn't be someone else's and that's just gonna open an even bigger can of worms.
The only other way I can think of to keep the poll impartial is to have annonymous entries like over at the Rally Competition and have a special one day poll to set up the top ten final poll. That way voting for your own entry would be nixed.
Those are the two options that we have available to us with this type of competition if we are to eliminate the "voting for your own entry" problem.
As it stands right now, most of you seem to be accepting the rating system as a way to get the final 10. Until I receive A LOT of complaints, I think we'll keep this system for the duration of this competition's run.
So now that I've rambled on for WAY too long here's this week's poll......
