I know this is piontless but i find it funny. I was just watching Spike TV and according to their show, The 52 Greatest Cars, Gran Turismo 4 is the best game of 2004. First, they said PGR2, But then their like " Some have flown to Japan to see Gran Turismo 4, It has everything, anything missing in PGR2 is in GT4". Funny right. And it isnt even out.

At the rate PD's going, GT4 will be the best game of '05.

What I don't get is why do gamers jump on the game producer for not meeting release dates when the producer never announced a release date? I can understand with something like Duke Nukem Forever. They had release dates on their freaking website. But I have yet to see a Sony brand website with a release date for Gran Turismo 4. Heck, there isn't even a hype site for GT4 on the US Sony site.
 
Can't you move/delete the thread yourself as starter? When I first joined the boards I posted in the wrong section and someone kindly explained I could move it.

Best game of whenever it comes out, nah. There are too many good games coming out these days for that to happen. And just saying that sentence makes me smile because gaming is doing so well.

too bad Gamespot didn't even rate it the best racing game or ps2 game in show for E3. Burnout 3 got best racing game honors....
 
Event, that's because no one gives a flying crap about GT4 until it's released. But then, answer yourself this. Why does HALO 2, Doom 3, MGS3: Snake Eater and stuff get mentioned a lot? I'm going to mention this in a future topic, but for now, Gran Turismo 4 will most likely be Best Racing Game of 2004. And as a GT fan and veteran of GT4, and a member of the massive GTPlanet family, if Gran Turismo 4 doesn't become best racing game of the year, I'll be damned.

Maybe sometimes being a "fanboy" can help. For people to say this is one of the best games of the year is if GT4 takes one field and do it professionally and make it fun for everyone, it will no doubt be racing game of the year, but I'll also be damned if Gran Turismo 4 won't at least be in the Top Ten for games of the year. I mean, first-person games and multiplayer frag fests are overrated nowadays. It's time for a change. In fact, I predict that when it comes to best 2004 games for PS2 and of the year... (this is only a prediction. Don't take it for fact):

PS2 Game of the Year Rating: 4th out of 10
" Racing Game of the Year: 1st or 2nd out of 10
Game of the year: 6th-8th out of ten
Racing " " " ": 2nd or 3rd of 10

I made those predictions based on how pro reviewers and gamer predictions go. So if they sound unfair, that's why. The next predictions will be on how the public may perceive GT4:

PS2 Game of the Year: 2nd or 3rd out of 10
" Racing Game of the Year: 1st out of 10
Game of the Year: 2nd or 3rd of 10
Racing " " " " 1st or 2nd out of 10

There you have it. From Houston, Texas to you.
 
I'd rather it be under the radar for the moment. It means we won't get an influx of ricers and preteen AOL users for a few months yet. By the time they get here we'll have answers for them before we close their threads.
