Fabro, let me get a few things straight.

First of all, I don't think anyone will condone cheating. I mean, especially with the Gran Turismo series, you just don't get the glory and the feel of racing your tail off and working to build up your garage with wonderful cars. I don't assume a lot, but let me assume that you are an avid GT fan who longs for every and any way to get better in GT racing. And I mean, why not? Anything to make my Honda S2000 LM Car or Toyota GT-One go better around Grand Valley and Tokyo I'll accept. More power, better tires, suspension tuning... there are even some sites online that deal with special settings for cars. But you see, cheating isn't the way to go. Maybe it's a good idea once you've beaten the game, but in trying to look for a cheap way to climb up the ladder of success, no way. I mean, what if Eagle said that he was able to beat Gran Turismo 1 in six hours using Gameshark codes and infinite money? I mean, Eagle would be labeled a "noob," which is probably short for "nobody." I mean, you talk about a game that has never been released for one, then you mention something that most gamers will not like- cheating.

But Fabro, nobody hates you on GTP. I mean, there have been people who came and went. For example, look up F-body, Darklegion_CA, BMW//M3, mynameisjohnny and such. We've dealt with such people who have either no respect for others or cannot produce an acceptable attitude. I mean, you come up with a topic like this, and no one is against you. It just means that you came up with a topic not a lot of people will want to talk about. So be sure to look elsewhere in the GT4 topics and comment on ideas mentioned in them.

Alright? So remember, we don't hate you, just dislike a topic like this. But if you elect to be foul and disrespectful, Eagle already has the upper hand because he OWNED you in one of his posts here. By the way, try to be a little kinder to avoid being banned like "mynameisjohnny" did recently. Be respectful and survive. Be disrespectful, and the Moderators will know what to do then...
 
First of all, don't bash the guy on his grammar. So he's a little rough with English, so what? Does that make him an inferior person? The last time I checked, there WERE people outside of the US...

but anyways back to the topic. Who cares if he cheats or whoever. Not everyone has 16 hours a day to play this game. I for one have been playing since the first GT came out and am still playing 3 and can't wait for 4. Do I cheat? yeah, but I only used the money cheat once when I was thoroughly done the game. So why did I do it? 'Cause like I said, I don't play this game 16 hours a day and I just want to mod up a car without having to race some stupid track over and over and over again just to get some money. It's pointless and a waste of my time. So what I'm saying is, I totally understand why he would want to cheat if he's done the game; saves time and you get to enjoy more of the cars. Now cheating your way to 100%.... that's another story...
 
He's not an n0S all over again. n0S wanted NO2 painted with neons and alien-pit-stopping shooters in his glowing box of Gran Turismo-flakes. However, they're both complete idiots. They can't spell, they don't use good grammar, and they don't give a damn about the actual game of Gran Turismo. I bet you that neither one of them has gotten 25% of the game done without some sort of codes, cheating, using saves, etc. They don't know how to truly appreciate the shire brilliance of a game PD has made. But why does everybody have to bash him into little pieces? Let him be, do his own little thing. Why don't you at least try to inform him what a dumb question it was, and then attempt to answer it? By you responding, it makes you look like a complete @$$. I know better, but other guests, newbies, etc. may make some quick judgements and try to defend themselves (as he did), which makes him look worse, all because of you. Nice goin guys.

Also, shouldn't this be in the "Gamesharks and Hybrids" forum?
 
I must say I don't use cheating to get success in games (at least not to any major degree). What I do use it for is for entertainment after having completed most or all of the game. Now I have got to 90% I need some light relief to take the boredom off the last most difficult bits.
 
Yes, I'm 87.x % done with the game. I've got to say that the last 13 % or so will be the absolute bost boring part of it. I've got 8 time trials, 2 enduros, about half the rallies, and maybe 10 or so proffesional stages/championships. Plus a few spot races, like laguna and cote on the Formula GT, a couple at PD champ, etc. It's gotten pretty dull, so I've gone back to Vice City to have some fun. I'm sneakin in a few races here and there. I am not in any rush, however, to go out and buy a gameshark. I currently own 5 games, so it wouldn't be much use. I bought a DFP and am using that. I've gotten so good with the DS2 that I consider using the controller as cheating :lol: :lol:
 
I finished GT3 with a 90%, but I used gameshark to have the money to buy all the cars, and I used the max series points to have all the prize cars instead of racing an endurance race or a series race another 20 times to get the car and the color I wanted, so its not that I use codes for beating the game, Im a really big GT fan thats what Im here, I love cars, and I Think GT is made for those like me that love automoviles, so dont get me wrong, I dont use the codes for beating the game, I use the codes for getting the cars, because thats what I love from GT series, the cars...
 
That's cheating. If you really loved the cars you would race them to win more...that's what I love about the GT series...:D
 
I never said I was against the guy. Fabro says that he uses the Gameshark thing to get ahead in the game. My thing is... well, let me backtrack. I want to say it was Viper Zero, but I'm not sure. But as Fabro was being attacked and even admonished by the GTP public (myself included), he said "I can kick your asses on the track." Viper Zero (I believe) said that "drifting is not racing," or something like that. As much as Viper said that drifting isn't real racing, we think that Gamesharking your way through Gran Turismo is like NASCARing through real racing- It's not going to happen, and you're not going to win a lot. The reason why it's considered cheating it is like you're playing "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time." So when you cheat, you kind of want the sands to predict the future. So what do you do? You enter a special situation where the future shows yourself winning the game. For one moment in your life, you see the end result of what hard work and pure determination is like. But just with any cheat, just because making it to the top can be done easily with cheating doesn't mean that it can't be done any better by wrking hard now to see a happy tomorrow. Would Eagle cheat to get a Holden or a Ford Australia machine? Of course not. Would MiniMADness want the coolest, tricked out Mini Cooper to rule overall by cheating? Not at all. Would Kart Racer want some wonderful American machinery by cheating? My boy wouldn't do that! And would our fair lady, Princess McLaren'sAngel, cheat through GT4 to acquire the love of her life, the McLaren F1? No way in Hell (no pun intended, since part of her screen name is "Angel")!

But as I said, I'm not against any newcomer. I'm just politely answering his question, even if it is a little rough. I mean, on two other forum sites, when I was a newcomer, I was treated like crap. I wouldn't want that to happen to any newcomer unless he/she was the scum of the Earth. And I don't see that in Fabro. I'm easy on the kid. I can be soft sometimes in times like this, but I don't assume that Fabro is going to cheat to win. Anyhow, don't say that I'm hard on him. I do whatever I can because I love to.
