After taking a few laps I must also add that GT4 is an entirely new beast. I love it. The sense of speed is great and using Logitecs Driving force Pro is amazing, all the little bumps on the ring are transfered right into your hands.

I do have one question though. I have noticed after a while of playing the brake remains partially activated although the pedal is not being depressed. I will try to get some shots up later but under full throttle the brake is anywhere from 1/8th to a little more depressed and it really is hurting lap times, acceleration and pretty much everything else. I was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I hadnt seen any info about it on the forum except for the braking mod to fix the older generation wheel. Thanks 👍

Did you re-calibrate the wheel in the options menu? It only takes a second.

There are no calibration options in the GT4 demo...

I've seen this happen while playing the demo. We are talking about the last Japanese demo, the one with the Falken GT-R and the Nordscliefe, right?

After an hour or so of playing the demo I'll start getting that. Or the gas isn't going to 100% or I get odd noises when turning in. All have been disscussed here.

Unplug the USB cable and replug it. That will recalibrate the wheel.

If that doesn't do it, your pedals are messed up. I've never heard of the brake pedal doing this sorta thing on the DFP...it is always the gas. But given theey are the same design I don't see why the brake wouldn't do the same thing. Basically the pedals on the DFP are a laugnable friggin joke...they are crap and you can never depend on them.

Was it easy to get used to the DFP in GT4?

In the demo, yes. The really improved the 900* support and force feedback since Prolouge. I can only assume the in the final build of GT4 it is the same or better.

It really is a pleasure to drive GT4 with a DFP...not to mention it is much faster then the DS2 for once. This coming for a hardcore DS2 user....

alrighty, yeah it usually recalibrates after a reset but a few laps later it returns. It is unfortunate because I bought the wheel Christmas a year ago so I probably cant return them for a trade. But the wheel itself is amazing in the Japanese Demo of GT4 I am hoping the full version there is a calibration so maybe that will help out. Thanks guys

I didn't know the demo has no settings for the DFP, that's kind of odd.

I can't wait to try the 900 degree mode in GT4, since it doesn't feel right at all in GT3, because it wasn't designed for it.

the demo has no real options. Just language, screen ratio, khm/mph..and two others I never change (BG music I think...).

The DFP just auto calibrates like it did with prolouge everytime you plug it in...

the demo is great, just sucks I cannot keep up with the AI traffic on the straights due to the brake :( , oh well another few laps on the Ring and maybe I can shorten the gap.

Bit annoyed I bought the demo off Ebay only to find there's a demo time limit on it! Should be a bit of fun around the tracks on it.

That can be removed...there is a LONG (75+ page) thread about the Japanese GT4 final demo and removing the time limit and such....

For proof look at the second link my my signature. Those are laptimes for the Nordschleife.

yes removing the time limit is essential for getting the most out of the GT4 demo 👍 , its actually pretty easy if you check the forum as described.
