GT4 & Driving Force Pro Centering Spring on PS2

I did the searches and searched expecially through the driving force pro thread on "centering springs." I really want to know waht that is. People have been talking on other forums about how the steering feels stiff, and how you can correct this by disabling "centering spring."

my question is 2 parts.

What is "centering spring?" and is this a PC only thing or can I disable it also on the PS2 and play gt4 with it disabled?

By the way,
Arco ( A frind of me ) to find a Funktion-Key to change the Force Feedback behavior.

If You pusch L3 , the Force Feedback "effects" change to converse direction 👍
