I am new here and wanted to mention this is an awesome site with an awesome forum. By the way I am from Holland and GT lover from day 1. Within two weeks I get my copy of GT4 Prologue

These modes will definitely be in the final product.

- Race Area
- Car Area en facillities
- Event Hall
- Arcade Arena
- Power and Speed
- Museum
- GT Bank
- Paint Shop
- Tuning World
- Flea Market
- Licence Centre
- Drift Contest
- Parking
 
The race arena will be where you go to race.
The car arena could for car shows, online car shows even.
The event hall could be special races or other challenges like Gymkhana tests and other things.
Power and speed is probably the machine test.
The Museum wil be where you can check out many of the classic and historically significant cars and learn about them.
The GT bank has got me curiouse eveyone knows what a bank is, but how will it fit into GT4 and how will it work will you have a choice of accounts and be able to invest in the manufacturers or what.
The paint shop will be where you can respray your car and maybe even do a bit more than just change the colour.
Tuning world is actually the tuning village and will be where you buy new parts for your cars, it's name points to more than one tunes shop each might have parts that suit a specific type of racing, like a shop for drifting, a shop for road racing and a shop for rally racing components.
Flea market might be an online rading area, maybe you can purchase some rare parts.
Licence centre is self explanitor really, you'll get your variouse licences here, there will probably be a much larger selection of licences that GT3.
Drift contest wil be where you can take part in a D1GP style drift competition.
The parking is very vague, I think it will be like a parking lot which will replace the garage in previouse GT games and you'll be able to check out all your cars there.
 
No which is why I kept using the terms probably and could be.

The only confirmed ones are the drift contest which KY has said will be done like the D1GP and the museum other than that KY has said he wants GT4 tol have an online trading area (flea market anyone) and I made educated guesse for the rest.

This is how I understood it: The Parking is the Gymkhana and stuff. The Car bit is where you select and view cars by name, date, or favorites. Event Hall would be where all the race events are to be found.
 
If all the races are at the Event arena, whats the race area? It might be like the official races and special events in two sections like in GT1 and GT2.

Seriously this game needs to be out now, it's pretty much the only game that I am waiting for this year.
 
Top row form left to right.
Event Arena=Where you race in races like in Simulation Mode.
License Center=Self Explanatory.
Arcade Arena= Arcade Mode.
Single race= Single race like in Arcde mode in GT3.
Power&Speed=The machine test, you can edit your cars settings.
Safety Driving Park= Like in GT4P where you learn to drive.
Drift Contest= Contest where you drift to win.
Second row from left to right.
Buy new car?=Self Explanatory
Buy used car?=Self Explanatory
Buy vintage car?=Self Explanatory
Car museum=Show of your own cars and there are probably some in there
GT auto=Car wash, Oil change and the rims have probably moved.
Tuning Village=Buy all you engine wheel and drivtrain parts.
Flea Market=Trade with other players for parts?
Third Row from left to right.
Garage= See all your cars
Online network= Online mode
Hall Of Fame= Fastest lap times etc.
Concert Hall= Listen to the games music and set what you want to listen too.???
Civic Center= Dont know??
Information= Self Explanatory
Bank Of GT= See you current moey and car total money.
Parking.=??
Paint Shop= To change the color of you car and maybe race mod colors.
Travel Office= The new photo mode.
 
Theres a Civic center not too far from where I live, it's a shopping and buisness center, other Civic centers have shows and exibitions at them too.
 
GameSpot has just released a video of the presentation, that sheds a little light on this. Go watch it ... ;)

If they shift the rims. I should imagine that if anywhere they'd put them in the tunning and parts section(Whatever it's gonna be called). You'd think it would be the same with the paint shop. Assuming there is one for sure though.
 
There is one for sure, the pic of all the modes is just a few posts above and they will ALL be in GT4 they arn't concepts.

If KY is trying to make GT4 perfect. Imagine GT5. Imagine how good that will be.

When I found out about that whole new physics engine thingy. I've been wondering if the cars will feel like the ones on Race Driver. I hope not because I don't want to do huge bake-ups everytime I exit a corner.
 
I think GT4 is gonna be perfect. But imagine how many glitchs! :eek:
 
Man this game can't get any better imo....but the occasional ferrari would have been nice.
 
GT isn't a racer. nor is it a simulator. It is just something that doesn't fit in the current games. It is way beyond anything. It puts GT3 a shame and pitty all other racers.
I have recently Played TocaRaceDriver2 The so called ultimate Simulator, I must say I am wetting my pents when comparing it with GT. People will say you have rcaegames and GT. Man this game will be an experience, beyond an experience.
 
GT, much like games like Deus Ex, does actually carve it's own niche in between genres. That's what makes finding games that are true GT killers so hard, because you have to exactly match the formula AND beat it, which is no mean feat.
