Every time I try to enter a race with this car, the loading screen freezes, and I have to reset, is there a particular modification that is causing this (the car is fully tuned) or is this a known glitch I can do nothing about?

Or maybe just a dirty disk... I cleaned mine and it worked fine after that.

It only does this when you turbo it. I was mad when I found this out. I went part by part till I put the turbo on and it just froze up. You can still supercharge it though.

I've read something similar to this on another thread.
It's is ridiculous. Other glitches don't really effect gameplay, and aren't too major on the scheme of things, but a glitch like this should never have got through testing. :dunce: I bet Nissan weren't too happy that their car made the enitre game crash - mind you, they did mange to squeeze in every model of Skyline that's ever been invented since 1396AD, so they can't complain about too much... :)

It is not a dirty disc. It is a bu. I returned the disc two times because of this. I drive this car in real life as an 03 350z track model. Do you know how frustrating it is not to be able to drive your car in the game because of a stupid bug.

my friend drives one in his gt4 all the time either ur looking for attention which u most likly r and its not no ones fualt its problly a scratch or a piece of lasts nights dinner onte bottom of the disk (shinny part) clena disj then try again or exchange ur copy.

I believe you're looking for attention by flaming like a little pillock, learn english and get back to me.

Anyway, I have the PAL version of GT4 and just tested this theory out - bought the car, slapped a supercharger on it (no other turbo options) and went to do a free run around the 'ring. Game loaded fine and was able to drive fine. Maybe it only crashes on fully modded cars?

You better shape up your attitude.

Your posts I've seen are nothing but short of coming closed to being flamed.
And you do need to head to English...I think your wanting attention more than anyone.

Anyways, miz, I tested this and it only happened when I had added on a turbo.
The supercharger was fine.

Anyone else find it strange that I only got the option to supercharge the car? Perhaps PD noticed the bug after NTSC release and fixed it in the PAL one?

Maybe its a PAL deal?

Bumping this back up... I got the same thing. 350Z ST+ turbo+ track test = frozen game. I thought my disc had gone the way of the dumpster at first, then I tried another car on the same track, and it worked.

Bottom line is, don't put the turbo on the 350Z ST Version, it'll freeze the game. It gives you 14 hp less than the supercharger, or the NA Tuning Stage 3, anyway, which makes it even more pointless. Actually, come to think of it, don't even buy the ST Version... it's 90kg heavier than the regular model!

that wasn't me, somone screwed with my post, i swear to god
i never wrote that. i wrote that your disc might have been scratched and the red indacator means your game is screwed.

@the post trust me i never wrote that, someone edited it....

hmmm... these types of glitches suck. 👎 I wish that PS2 could have been more compatible with a PC or perhaps even better online support for the PS2 itself. So that patches for problems like this are just a download away... :grumpy:

No problems here using the yellow 35th Anniversary edition 350Z (NTSC); but now I can't wait to try this bug out...

Realize that GT4 has 720 cars, and roughly 12 tuning options per car, so that makes for at least 8600+ combinations of upgrades, let alone millions more if we include all that fine-tuning.

I had the same thing happen with one of my '98 Lotus Esprit SE's. It was my cursed car. I would go to any track, practice and adjust all my settings. As soon as I left the track the game would lock up.

I ended up selling the car and buying another one, and the problem was gone.

Give it a shot.

Good luck.
