I am trying to make GT4 in HD (720p). I have uploaded a sample on my youtube channel. Everyone is invited to post comments and critics.

Could you explain what you're doing? I thought the NTSC version had an option to run at 720p anyway?

PlayStation 2 doesn't have that option

Oh I guess your game is PAL as your Youtube account says your from Switzerland.

So how are you making it HD then?

capturing and using some filters to clean up as much as possible.
i still haven't reached the 720p HD i excpected so there will be probably another upload

There was an option on the NTSC version to run in an upscaled 1080i, if possible you would be better off trying to capture that.

It would be. It appears that the 720P in the video is upscaled 480i (possibly 480p, but that would be slightly more difficult to do), and the result cannot be as crisp as using the native 1080i (well, not really) signal that GT4 can display. There also appears to be some image distortion, but I cannot be sure about that without seeing the original feed.

Ah that's what I meant I'm really missing that feature because my PS2 looks awful on my HDTV. If anyone knows are component cables worth getting for the PS2 if you own a HDTV? Especially an older one that doesn't scale SD signal as well.

I've hooked mine up to an HDTV (U.S. launch model) and it looked fine in 1080i.

Well sadly I'm not in a NTSC region but the PAL region so it would only be for 480p.
