GT4 joke in the movie Kick-Ass!

When Kick-Ass meets Red Mist at the base of the Brooklyn Bridge it's an exact setup from Photomode Travel, right down to the camera angles on the Mist-mobile. I could find no photos of the scene online, but it hardly seems coincidental.

Am I wrong in this? :scared:
 
I'm pretty sure it's a well known spot and the movie happens to feature a car of note.

It could very well be influenced by playing GT4, but it's hardly a joke.
 
I wasn't sure I could fit the word 'reference' into the subject line - the movie's title has an exclaimation mark, which made me sound like an overly enthusiastic eight year old.

I thought it was kinda cool, but I guess not. :dunce:
