GT4(legal copy) with modchip

Ok so i legally purchased Gran Turismo a few months ago.
Yesterday i chiped my ps2.
Note that i play the original cd, no back-up.
it worked fine after.
today i started the game no problem.
when i enter world circuits in arcade mode the screen becomes black and nothing happens i still hear the music tough. happens every time.
does anyone know what should i do?

I think I recall reading about this before, with no modchip, turned out to be a faulty disc...
 
i remember something too but i searched some keywords didn't find anything
 
It's not the chip... it's your game.
 
There're some chips allow you to turn off the chips by how you press the reset button
see if your chip has this feature
