is the only way to get gt4 movies or replays onto the pc with a video capture card?

i heard somewhwre that gt4 can let you put replays onto a usb flash drive just like photos, and then open them up on the computer in like windows media files, like
.wmv or.mpeg's

anyone know?

ive tried saving my replays to usb but i cant find it, ive checked replay theater but it only allows memory card 1 and 2 , the usb does work with my photos tho , im looking for a way , what happens if you connect your ps2 straigh to your computer? anyone tried it. There are some replays i want to get on computer badly but my only method i can think, not having a capture card is to brung my camcorder out and film it :indiff:

if you saved the replay to say, mem card 1, then opened up the armax mem manager, you could copy the replay file onto the usb drive. but if you pu it in the pc, would it read it as a .max file?

you CANT save replays! thats not how they work!

they arent video files, they are percentage files telling hte game what goes where and when.. thats why when you watch a replay you can hit square and have "dive mode" that goes along with the music... and well.. since you CAN do that, that means that it isnt a video!
..because you cant exactly go to the movie theater and scream at the video to see if it will change.. no! you cant! because its already happened; your just watching a REPLAY of what DID happen.. and it cant be edited from a standing point

the way replays work (in ALL games) is in percentages. it tells the system what (or who) is in the game, lists their names, and gives them all percentages of gas, brake, steering, and such.. therefore its not a video file.
