GT4 news....

Posted here so most people will see it !...

While we were testing IP over Messenger Pigeon, the guy at the other end, who just happens to be from Japan, and a GT fan as well, told me some reliable news from Polyphony (Reliable as in, he has a friend etc..) :

First - Good news, The Test Track will be included in GT4, but not in it's current shape, it'll be made 16 times bigger. One the Driving Skill tests will be 100 laps in Prius, on time, and gas mileage. This should supposedly be done as one of the first things as fuel economy will be a huge part of GT4 👍

Second - What's also one of the reasons for the delay is the programming of the AI, PD says the AI is currently around 25% smarter than your average drifter, and that's just not good enough. The new AI will also have a feature called Really Serious Attitude Problem©, or RSAP© for short. RSAP© will cause the AI to not only strike back if you hit it, but it will also make it flip you off, honk it's horn at you, steal stuff from your car in between races in championships and much much more. (Should be pretty interesting).

Third - Not so good news. He also told me that as much as 50% of the estimated 700 cars will probably be Lancers, Skylines and Imprezas.. This has yet to be confirmed though...

It's actually 75%. Got my info from a very reliable source, who also told me there would be absolutely no European cars. All those screenshots you saw, they're all fake, sorry guys.

I actually somehow doubt the credibility of this new piece of news (all the buttons are used up; what would you use for the horn?). Also, PD would have come up with a better name for the RSAP that you mentioned, even though I do believe that concept to be in the game. Also, I doubt that fuel efficiency will be in the game (I've heard too much news to the contrary), and I also highly doubt that one of the lisense tests will include 100 laps around a 32+-mile course in a Toyota Prius. Personally, I would ask to talk to this "friend" of your friend's and get him to send you a release date. Only if that release date holds true will I believe half of the stuff in this post.

I don't see the up or down buttons on the D-pad having a use currently.
