Okay so i got some help from the other senior members and or admins and mods,
and i discovered the most amazing thing ever.......Kai for online gaming, i said im a nOOb to this whole online stuff, and yall prolly know about it already but.
What i'm wondering is.......whos on there? I know dking is, cause we have had some amazing battles and i must say, his tag might say new member, but he is verry impressive on the track...who else is on there, and if anyone is, set it up and we'll screw around or battle, but i wanna see some of these members who are posting these pics (in action) Prove your skill as was posted in another thread.
Show that these drifts in the pics arent just big smokey sideways screw-ups 👍

Im on there as american_drifter so hit me up if anyone decides they wanna battle or whatever.......And to dking......you better be around alot more.......6 hours of drifting was amazing, and we owned all :sly:

i'll get an extra cat5 cable tonight, but you guys have to help me set it up. last time i failed miserably....

Good point, Mashi_tuner you may want to give some links and get more in depth if you'd like people to respond.
 
you cant prove skill by xlink.... The frame rate is too low when you play it makes it hard to tell who's drifting good and who's not.. plus wheel users will have trouble since thier FF will go on and off because of the low frame rate.

ok i'll be waiting for one of you guys... i got kai installed and set up, ps2 set up for online gaming, but i have no idea what to do with gt4 or how to join a game. :dopey:
 
okay man if you say so, slow frame rate ot not...whats slower a pic or xlink? i can tell when someones drifting good.......stop making excuses and d up. nk4e i seen ya on there'

LOL, well I'll have to say that the best representation of drift skills is a video where the frame rate is not obscured and contol isn't hindered.

Ryen isn't making excuses. He was one of the FIRST on this board to start drifting online. So he knows what he's talking about. He's also one of the best drifters on this board. It might be nice to actually know who you're talking to before you start accusing them of things. :dopey:

I agree with Ryen, to be able to drift in that FPS is very challenging, I have some trouble but it seems to be all lag for me.

Your posts are blocking progress of this thread, and it's hard to read good posts when people are busy putting others down, because NOTHING productive comes from it....... That said, I'll have to check this out, maybe I can get lucky and have better luck with FPS, lol

I hardly doubt it, I'm just stating that you can't really judge someones drifting by using xlink. Plus the FPS is around 10-20fps... heck I even had it go to 0 and stay there for 1 min then resume back with the game. I'm not putting others down nor am I directing my post towards one person, As a forum Veteran I think i know about whats productive and whats not. Watch peoples videos they show more skill than what you can judge from xlink.

Look at the title of the thread, then look at Ryen's comments and you'll understand that it goes exaclty inline with what this thread is supposed to be about. He didn't put anyone down so stop trying to say he did.

Read and think before you post comments like this.
 
whew, after reading this thread, all i can say is "OH GOD!"

the point has been made and proven that xlink is not the optimum medium for judging drift skills. that honor belongs to video, as you can't send an eye-witnessed first hand account over the web.

that's all ryen said. dont give him beef about making a valid statement for the good of progression.

if this thread was to talk about xlink itself, then prove it by getting back on topic.

I SUPPORT KAI ONLINE GAMING FOR GT ><

yay, i think its really cool and it was supper fun to drift with my friends there
i cant rmeeber xenogears's handle for kai (that was another handle :P)
and one of them was breakerohio
we had lots of fun and if you're near each other u wont have much lagging problem.
im up for battle, and apparently this is all technology and gaming companies can do for now for drivers who want a challenge.

im up for challenges too
im maku_gx over there as well.

I cannot play, the MAC (number) works and i had the same setting as the banner said. I tried with nk4e and it doesn't works. Maybe can someone help me?
 
I've said it once, and I'll say it again, wait for the official online version.
