GT4 Photomode Magazine Cover: Week 8

Welcome to Photomode Magazine Cover Competition Week 8
This competition will be testing cover design, photoshop abilities and photomode abilities of residents of the planet.

Rules
Only Imageshack thumbnails will be considered for entry.
Use your own pictures.
One entry per person, per week.
Mark FINAL ENTRY in red on your final entry.
Stick with the theme.
Cite all sources you get your magazine logos from (not on the magazine, but in the post)
The picking will go like the Photomode Competition goes by a poll
Failure to abide by the rules results in DQ.

Theme
This weeks theme, as picked by Vicious VP, will be Economy Cars
Further Explanation: Cars can run more than 28MPG in City and have no more than 230HP

On the site link given there is a MPG for the City and Highway, do we combine the 2 and work out the average? or just use the one MPG.

Also u said at least 28 MPG, so I gather you mean anything anything that travels more than 28 miles to the Gallon and has less than 230HP right?.

highway or city MPG meet the requirement should be okay I guess
travels more than 28 miles per gallon and has less than 230 horsepower

I am thinking Vicious wants to see some cars that you normally see on the road everyday, like small compacts ....

With some cars there is alot of difference between City and Hwy MPG usage, normally City uses the most MPG.

So just say that any car that uses 28 or more MPG in the city, and has 230HP or less.

yeah I think so ... no expensive sport cars this week LOL
I guess many of us will use insight and prius since they are very fuel economy

It still leaves a few cars that are sporty, such as a Celica.

And with the below 250 hp, is that stock?

If it's getting at least 28mpg city, I'd guess 250hp would only come with some modification. Suppose a car you choose gets the right mileage, has the right horsepower, but is capable of producing over 250hp. Would we have to somehow prove what numbers it was putting down when the photo was taken?

I am not sure on this, I think it 230HP or below @ stock. Which when u think about is just about every car that is capable of traveling that 28MPG.

Yeah, that's a big list of cars. Shouldn't be too hard to find some good stuff.

The MPG info on the linked page only goes back to 1994. I am going to have to actually research by hand the older cars' mileage.

Prius and Insight -- no freakin' way!

OK, I know the GT-Four doesn't qualify as an economy car but I'm just using it as a reference until I get the other photo. I'm thinking it'll be close in composition, just don't know what car yet.

I wanted to get some opinions on my idea so far. Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress. Thanks

Thank you! I'm just trying something different. Hopefully I can keep the MG's on since I just assumed they are good for at least 28 mpg.

Well I'm glad to see the magazine competition has not failed. I'm going to try to enter it this week since I'm done with my college night courses for the summer. Still gotta work all day but I'll have free time at night.

Turns out my GT-Four (ST185) just made it at 201 BPH / 30.1 MPG!!!!!
I may still change it depending on how much time I have this week.

Check out the list. It has a lot of the European and Japanese specs.

Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 .... 32.5MPG
I don't know if the 190E EVOII use the same engine or not
but this car doesn't look fuel economy at all ... LOL

I'm pretty sure the EVOII uses a tuned-up version of that same four cylinder. Whether it get 32.5 mpg in the city is anyone's guess.

Probably the first mag where Ive found nothing wrong or odd. You would definitely see that on the newstand. Nice work with the title logo as well. Very clean and nicely done.

I think Im sitting this one out....econo-boxes just dont do much for me. Hopefully you get some good competition this week.
