Gran Turismo 4 at E3 - official
Web posted on 24/4/03 Sony have confirmed what we suspected all along, that the fourth Gran Turismo game will debut at the E3 exhibition next month.
It's been the talk of the industry for ages now, but it's finally been confirmed by the men in suits themselves - Gran Turismo 4 WILL make an appearance at the E3 exhibition in LA next month. Series producer Kazunori Yamauchi will showcase the game to the world's press at an event on May 14th, giving us salivating journos the first glimpse at what is sure to be the Best Racing Game Of All Time, Ever.
Alas, details are still scarce, and more importantly, we don't know if car damage will feature in the series for the first time - a major grumble with the GT games so far is the apparent invulnerability of the featured cars, meaning you can take a corner simply by slamming into the pack and motoring off on your happy way, leaving some very angry AI cars behind you. However, we do know the game will sport around 2,000 cars and up to 100 tracks, and will definitely feature online racing - isn't that enough, you merciless hounds? This is a real sequel too, Gran Turismo 4 uses a brand new game engine and revamped AI.
