latest news i found out today about gt4 release date was this from the scee official website now.. who can get it more right than the developers themselfs ?..

May I ask who appointed you to be in charge of this board? I wasn't aware Jordan had appointed a new moderator.

And of all the particular subjects you could have chosen on which to proclaim yourself the master, how in the name of trees did you manage to pick the one that has been pointlessly rehashed more times than anything else on the entire planet?

im doing this so the forum doesnt get so cluttered with ridiculous 'release date' threads some of you people make, there must be about 15 - 25 threads about release date on here by now so before that doubles imm creating a thread so it can stop people from posting new threads if they see this and why does it have to be a moderators job? maybe it could be because i wanna try and help out this great forum! nothing wrong with that is there?!!!!!? if you wanna argue with me about it any longer you can PM me because gtplanet doesnt need pi** takers like you neon duke. and if u dont like it just dont reply to this thread , all i have to say for now

So you felt the urgent need to add yet one more level of clutter? There are hundreds of threads on this subject already. Criminy, there are probably a dozen at least all of which tell everyone to only post in that particular thread! Your enthusiasm is appreciated, I guess, but not really helpful without some thought behind it.

See that little "sm" symbol next to neon_duke's name? What do you think that means? I'll give you a hint... Jordan has a little "a" symbol next to his, meaning "administrator".

Wow, a bunch of superioristic mods and forum vets picking on a newer poster just because he came up with an idea the MODS should have done along time ago, i.e. a Sticky thread for relase Date Rumors/Discussion.

Perhaps if you Mods had done your jobs, there wouldn't be so many worthless release date threads, eh?

But no, it's so much cooler to pick on others for what seems like a damn good idea to me. While his "Pi** Takers" comment was rather uncalled for, the point here is that the Mods and other posters reaction were pretty rude, arrogant and down right ****e-ty.

But if he was truly interested in reducing clutter, he would have posted in one of the dozens of existing threads, rather than start yet another new one. Honestly, there are many that even say exactly what his said. He just wanted his thread to be the main one.

And stickying threads is next to pointless. It almost guarantees that those who desperately need to read them NEVER WILL.

What's wrong with his thread being the one to hopefully get rid of, or at least reduce, the others? He certainly didn't have bad intentions. And I didn't know that anyone with an 'sm' next to their name couldn't be criticized. Geez.

I never meant to imply that moderators couldn't be criticized... I just noted that it's not a good idea to call one a "pi** taker", and that if one gives a suggestion about forum behavior, people don't go in a wild frenzy like their life is on the line.

Anyway, when PD/Sony officially state the release date, then everybody can start lining up at Best Buy or pre-ordering online. Until then, speculation won't change the date in any way.
