Gt4 release date junk.

As many of you know, there is a large number of threads saying when they think GT4 will be released. Do you think that we could have a small 'sticky note' saying what you (Jordan) or some of the super mods believe the release date is.

Why? There are already 300,000 opinions on when the release date will be.

Pick your favorite! Mine is 2nd Quarter of 2003.

Well, I think that if it werer going to be released this month that we'd be seeing commercials for it, or seeing ads in stores, or something. My opinion, although I hate it, is that it's waiting until August or September before being released (so that they'll have time to get all the lisences squared away; I'd imagine they're going for some of the guys like Lamborghini and Ferrari to include in their games, which would explain all the delays). Truthfully, I just want it to be out at a time when I can buy it on impulse or recieve it as a gift.

I stopped into the local GameSpot the otherday and noticed the pre-release GT4 boxes on the shelf (Place your pre-release order Now!)...

I asked the guy when it was really coming out, and he said that the Sony rep had been in last week...

Apparently the latest delay is because PD is doing additional coding to take advantage of the new PS2 hard drive...it may be that users will be able to download new tracks and cars after the release, which, according to the Sony rep, is looking like November

Don't know what to believe, but the download track/cars feature would be cool...

That's not the issue. Sometimes it's a good thing as to not post a double thread. That's fine. But reviving old threads just "because" for a game that's been out is not very cool.
