this is not official in any kind but it has apeared on a few webpages etc.
In gt4 there may be a 'school' as such where you learn the art of good driving. It is said to be liad out like a board game, pass a certain task and you may win a car. Like in the beginning lisence tests it may have dotted lines to show you what to do (these may be taken away on the second lap). This sounds like a really good idea and should help newcomers get to grips with the game.

Also there is said to be penaltys for sliding around the walls and going off course (this has probably been brought up before however). Post any comments on this new 'mode' here.

Now i have heard that GT4 might have some real race tracks like Tsukuba. There might even be more than 170 cars this time around. Now don't go jumping to conclusions - nothing is certain yet.

there is said to be around 500 cars, not the 778 listed on someones wish list. I have confirmed however that there WILL BE a new york track which is thought to be pretty good.

You are joking, right?

If not, I am sorry to be the party booper, but it is time to tell you that you are in fact talking about "Gran Turismo 4 Prologue", which was released in Japan months ago (school mode, board like screen, dotted lines, car prizes, etc). I have the game, and it is just as you are telling. Haven´t you also heard about the cofee breaks between school tests??

Maybe you should check the GT4 Prologue forum also...

did you hear that gt4 will have an online mode:lol:

Nonetheless, everything you've "speculated" on is in fact already contained in GT4: Prologue. And since it's released in the UK on May 16th, you can find out for yourself.

Okay lay off the guy, he's new. James you do need to make threads that haven't been done before or if it's just to point out a small thing then just make a comment in another thread rather than creating a new one.

As for the school mode, GT4:P has this school mode as I' sure your aware, nothing has been said about GT4's licenses yet though but it would be reasonable to conclude that it will be done in a new way rather than the tried and tested GT1,2 and 3 methods but the board game style in GT4:P I doubt would fit into the full games style and empt at being very authentic.

The number of cars included in GT4 is over 600, KY said early on GT4 will have more cars than any previouse GT game, and GT2 hit the 590's. I would not think nealry 800 cars to be out of the question but I'm not going to say it will be over 800. Not even PD knows the final car count because they will be adding cars up to the last minuet according to KY.
