I heard and read that you'll be able to watch races online as well,,,but does anyone know how? will we be restricted to the replay cameras or will we choose where we "Sit" at the track? how about ride alone with one of the drivers??? any info on this?
 
Maybe if you scan a full length photo of yourself and email it to PD, they can turn you into one of their 'cardboard cut-out' spectators?

perhaps instead of the animated waving they do, you can moon instead?
 
Basically, I think it should be exactly the same method as you would observe a 'LIVE' Replay as you used to in the I-Link mode.

The PS2 takes all the data from the online race that took place of which YOU were spectating and you can control the replay in which you see fit during the race and once it has finished, you choose to save the race footage on the memory card.

so you wouldnt be able to see the race "Live" as it happend?
 
Polyphony Digital has stated that "live" spectating will be possible, and anything else is just guessing at the moment. PD is really keeping GT4 close to it's chest until release, and until then all we can do is wait, guess and discuss old info.

Yea! there was a video I saw, I think its here on this site as well, that in some footage it shows a pit crew member walking and stuff, and they even show a GT40 in a pitstop!!! -- it will be way cool rather than have your car float in mid air and then drop again.
 
Can you post a link please? I searched, but no luck. I also tried pursuaing someone else to post a link, but there's just no love goin around. :(
 
I don't know where my vid is gone?I have pal prologue and in the bonus DVD it has about 7s of footage of the pitstop.

thats the one Im talking about,,,,i think its the one with the Cars at the Nurburgring.....I cant remember, but it was very cool.

yea!! that one. But i mean if they have a CG pitstop......wouldnt that mean they would have it in the game? or is it just for the CG????
 
Well KY already confirmed ages ago that GT4 will have animated pitstops.

nice! would they be interactive, for example we will be able to choose Soft, Supersoft or hard compund tires? or change settings to the cars like in real pitstops???? because if we could WOW that would be awesome!!!! :dopey:

Dont know he didnt go into detail, I hope so.

I also hope they have that flag guy at the end of the races as seen in vids.

yea,,but its alot their are getting out of the PS2 and the DVD disc the game comes in huh, i mean i dont know if it is, but it sure seems to me that it is because of all the stuff they are doing in the game.
 
That guy waving that flag was just a great CG animation.. They wont included in every race, but will be included in the beginning video of GT4. Same as the GT40 vid (with the pit crew..)that was released a while back...

(IMO)
