Sorry if this is old news but............................................
Watching a racing video game show on TV last night whilst showing some sweet film of a GT4 rally stage they said that it had been anounced that GT4s release has been put back(suprise suprise) to ''summer 04'' :( . Tell me this is not true, the tv channel was MotorsTV by the way.

Y'know. I'm tired of the whole release date. Yes, GT4 is going to be awesome. Yes, its probably going to top GT3. But whilst it's not out, just enjoy GT3. GT3 is an outstanding game. When GT4 comes out, wory about it then. But until then, just be happy with GT3. If you get GT4 and you think it sucks, I'm going to laugh since you waiting and waited for the games release.. My 2 cents..
 
You could try to play gt4 trial toyota version, it is supposed to be GT4 with some tracks (havent had time to test yet) and several toyota cars.....
 
it's useless to keep on talking about the releasedate, it's always unclear with games developed by PD. it can change anytime and suddenly.........the time has come. as far as i know, GT4 will be released in april 2004.
 
ive reserved my copy and the bloke in the shop said it would be out on december 12.
 
Liquid Yellow, I think it has been moved back to 2004 but I don't know personally what month in 2004 they've said it's been moved back to. Though I have a feeling that won't be the final release date.
 
yeah, the whole release date thing is b/s, what are all those cars listed under your guys's reply? some I don't recognize from GT3
 
Until we hear an OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE i think people should just drop the B/S rumors of whens its supposed to come out... some say FEB-MARCH others say SUMMER 04 damn who really cares when the game comes out it comes out, we all know its gonna come out next year some time before the end of summer and we all know its gonna be great blah blah, but i think people should stop making up useless thread about the release cuz alot of people are posting the same stuff over and over without going and posting on existing one instead of making new ones, if they dont say "PD CONFIRMED A SUCH AND SUCH RELEASE DATE" Dont post nothing at all about it. thank you and have a great night :)

Wohh sorry if I caused offence but it did sound like an official anouncment, I thought it might be info for all those who have reserved it and were expecting it around Christmas as originaly speculated.

According to PD, that will be sometime after April 2004.
 
i think they should release it in the summer so that teenagers wouldnt get so into it that they forget to study for finals and such...and until then..they should keep updating the game with added stuff..maybe some dvd extras or maybe you can gain pictures of the real life cars as you win races....or something like that
 
I'd rather wait and have an outstanding game, rather than have an OK game. And not be greedy and have it out right-at-this-moment. The longer it takes to develop a game, the better its gonna be! Call me crazy but I'm actually glad they held it back, so they can make a better game. :)
 
Agree very muchly,I reckon there having a few probs with the online bit meself but anyhow yes a Gran Turismo game shouldnt be rushed.
 
:lol: buy a modchip and download the toyota prius version off a p2p program... its only about 3gb. (dont even bother using kazaa)

This kind of scares me when i do the math. GT3 was released in late fall of 2000, then released in july of 2001 in the US. so unless PD decided to release GT4 all at once we might have to wait a whole year! I just cant wait that long guys. please pray that it comes out this year.

i just hope it comes out before fall 2004 i need some more cars and i was told when i preordered that it would be january 7 2004
 
Better waiting another few months than having a crap cash in GT4 with lotsa bugs until GT5 arrives in 2+ years time on the PS3.
 
true enough but id still like pd to say that they will have a game done a certain time and have it done then if they cant do that then they should wait until its done to say when it will be done
 
PD is going to take their sweet time with GT4. They rushed GT3 in order to get a GT series release out for the PS2, and so doing, they left out things that they had originally wished to include in the game. So since their rushed effort remains the best racing game on the PS2, why should they rush GT4 and make the same mistake they made last time? While I am eager to see this game come out, I am willing to wait so PD can make a better game. I'm sure most would agree...
