Sorry if this was posted already :O

GT4 unvailed at E3 and stunned the whole world. Including IGN (and my cousin :) ). IGN released their best picks of E3. GT4 had the most wins and a nominee :). Here is the site: E3 Best

I combined all their reports of GT4 into one:

Gran Turismo 4
Developed by Polyphony Digital
Published by Sony Computer Entertainment

The best way to accurately describe Gran Turismo 4? Photo-realistic. Maybe one could add "gorgeous," or "stunning" too. All would be fair. Far and above Gran Turismo 3: A-spec, which still is the best looking racing game on the PlayStation 2 -- and perhaps best looking racing game to date -- GT4 visually delivers on all cylinders. Whether it's the photo-realistic looking walls of the Grand Canyon, the sky's impressionistic clouds, the incredibly textured roads or the absolutely brilliant looking vehicles, Polyphony's game is award winning visually striking title. When you can't tell if the cars are real or not, it's hard to look at any other racer.

Gran Turismo 4 seems like the easer winner in the racing category this year, but honestly, there wasn't much competition. EA wouldn't let anyone play Need for Speed Underground and NASCAR and F1 just don't match up. Not to take anything away from GT4, though, because not only did Polyphony's racer show up looking dressed to kill with jaw-dropping visuals, it boasted 28 playable cars (out of its promised 500-plus), a killer new 900-degree steering wheel to accompany it, slightly improved AI, and fully functional online play. And it's not ever coming out into 2004. Sheesh. We're still sorry about all the mess we caused. Next time we'll bring our own handkerchiefs to wipe up the slobber.

Best Simulation Game
What -- another award for GT4? Hell yeah. Anyone who's played GT3 knows how skillfully balanced it felt, and even at this early stage, GT4 offers new subtleties in physics and handling. Catch a wheel in the dirt and watch as the wheel spins faster to grip and put you back in the race. Feel a wide variety of handling styles in the wide scope of cars available -- from classics to American hot rods to modern guns -- and experience the rush of online play against erratic humans.
Runner Up on:

Best Overall:
In the overall scheme of things, Polyphony's game carries with it an amazing sense of power -- from the graphics, sound, playability and the incredibly high production levels -- and this game, even at this early stage of development (it's due in 2004), is already on the steep slope of improving upon its predecessor. From the stunning visuals to the subtle physics improvements, to the massive roster of cars and the online play, GT4 ranks extremely high in the best games of this year's E3, and we're genuinely teetering with excitement about its upcoming arrival.

Nominee:

GT4 looks good, which is only to be expected. The car lineup is impressive.

But you still can't add bodykits, spoilers, decals, etc. to your cars...which you can in Street Racing Syndicate. Looks like I'll have to buy both games....sigh.

I heard that there will be but not like SRS with the Big ass wings, neons, etc. But I will still buy both games (but will put GT4 right ont top of GT3 which is on the top of my stack of PS2 games :) )...

Unfortunately it looks like we are going to have to wait until 2004 for the American and UK releases. The Japanese release might just get released in 2003 but unless you own an imported or a chipped machine you are going to have to wait until 2004

What i want to know is are us brits going to have the same cars as americans(like the diablo)Ijust hope everybody gets the same
on GT4 (jealous)

we should this time, but ya never know

every version will be the same, or maybe......... if there is a dfferent version, it must be the japanese one.

But who cares, Gt4 will be full of GREAT cars :D
