So how do we exactly unlock the cars? I have the Chinese version, btw. I've almost completed the licenses in GT mode, and have entered a few races.

Or do I have to race all the available tracks first in Arcade Mode to unlock the rest, like GT3?

I'm curious about this as well because I'm sure I'll want to do some 2-player battles shortly after the game comes out.

same here.. and in GT3 you could unlock all tracks in arcade mode, which was fun, after you've achieved some of your goals in sim mode.. so now we must work our arses off through most licenses and some cups before we can do some serious racing in 2 player mode...

Tracks get unlocked through time. There's an order in which the tracks will be "unlocked" simply as time goes by in game. I'm too lazy to look for the list in another forum....... maybe it's on the forum somewhere here too.

really? iono about that, cause i dont have costa di amalfi, even in GT Mode, and i'm really looking forward to that track

I do believe Costa di amalfi was one of the License test, So it should unlock somewhere in there! Any Body else notice how BIG this game really is, As far as game play?

From my experience, the tracks are unlocked through completing license tests and I believe gaining A-spec and B-spec points. I have most everything unlocked (-unchicaned Le Sarthe) and I am only at about 13%.

Actually you're wrong in this case, as tracks are unlocked according to dates, so as time goes by, more tracks are unlocked for your leisure in both gt mode and arcade mode. You dont really have to do anything important to unlock tracks which i think is a bit of a shame. C'mon, wheres the challenge in that. As i stated in another thread (Tips for GT4 Starters: Veterans or Not), i write down what tracks were unlocked on what days for anyone that were curious.

So how do cars get unlocked in Arcade mode? Sorry if this has already been answered, but this thread was the best find by search.
Apparently they don't really get "unlocked" by any special methods. You get new cars to use in arcade mode when you buy them in GT mode.

(I think that is right, I don't remember .. lol)

Your A-spec and I think B-spec points "unlock" the arcade mode tracks. The further you progress in GT Mode and the more circuits you open up in GT mode (in the Real Circuit, City, Original Courses,Dirt & Snow) those same open up in Arcade mode.

You also get A-spec or B-spec points in arcade mode that apply to GT Mode.

I'm not sure about the cars. I haven't gone into Arcade mode much, rarely did in GT3 too, but have noticed a few more cars available now that I am around 30% since the first time I ventured there with a 0% completion. I think whoever said that why you buy or win a car in GT Mode it opens in Arcade mode...that seems about right.
