GT4 VS PGR3, the Nordschleife part II

Yeah, the PGR3 version looks better although the GT4 version looks more authentic. The one in PGR3 is too smooth, lacks the bumps. Also the experience itself while driving on that track is much better in GT4.

The PGR version has been widened and smoothed out. Less so than PGR3, but it's still there. BC even admitted to this because they know that PGR is an arcade (semi-realistic) game, but they wanted people to have the most fun when playing online. They knew the Ring would be popular, but they didn't want guys who are just ok at the game to get frustrated with a really hard (like real life) tight and twisty Nurburgring. The front straight in PGR2 is probably 2 car widths wider than the real one, but in PGR3 it's about the same size.

Nice! Good to see a comparison between the two of them... I've got a vid of the actual thing to compare with as well...

Judging by the real video, both games have different parts that are more real than the other one, but overall, GT4 appears as though it came the closest thus far.

I freaked when I saw the big bus.:scared:

Oh yeah, I added a part II just too piss you off guys. :sly:

I gotta say, now that I've tried PGR3 -- PGR3's version of the Nurburgring looks incredible, and the track itself is much more accurate than PGR2's was, but Bizzare Creations still took liberties when it came to the foliage and scenery surrounding the track -- there are parts where it's too sparse, and just wrong. Then there's the whole thing with it being perfectly smooth (for a valid reason, as iceburns noted), and many of the corners and hills aren't quite right.

GT4's version of the 'Ring is still more accurate, if not as "pretty." ;)

I've made a lot of run in GT4, EPR & PGR3.

I have to admit that PGR3 is really off when it come to sim. As you noticed in my comparison video, the track is almost identical to the others. Though, the biggest fun is to actually run on the track as previously said & learning the track layout is a big + that allow you to push a lot more in the 2 others games.

about the "RING" comparission...i drove the Nurnurgring very often in real live, and i must say GT4 is the closest it can get. i didnt play PGR3 though....but in GT4 its real good.
