Week 140 Race Specifics:

1-- Look out!!!!! the dead line is 3 hours earlier.
2--all tarmac, concrete and cobblestones areas are legal. Only walls, grass and sand are off-track.


Standard Clean OLR Rules:
  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
  • rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • if you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • no hybrids
  • no cheating of any kind
  • nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • save your replay ('Save Ghost Replay' icon)
Thread rules:
The following info cannot be discussed in this thread (they can, however, be discussed on MSN or via other private conversation methods):

  • any information which can be used to infer lap time
Submission:
All submissions must be sent by PM to me

Time verification:
Save your replay and keep it at least a full week after the time has been submitted:
  • all gold times each week will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide a replay before the next race deadline
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from WRS results
  • video replays are not accepted, only .max, .xps or .sps files can be verified

I don't know about this weeks theme :nervous:
I have been driving the ring a little lately, its a long track
I'll have to very cautious near the end just to finish it clean I suppose
looks like fun :scared:

EDIT how many t times do we post, I think I saw 11
I looked at past boards and saw that 3, 6 and 9 were posted before, so here is a start, albeit slow

Lost time between T6 and T9 compared to the first lap (only did two laps and only did those two because the first had a dirty spot).
In any case, it was lots of fun. :cheers:
Btw, I doubt I will be actually competing since I don't really have the time or inclination to take all the necessary steps to prove I'm not cheating (:lol: as if my time is good enough to be considered cheat worthy anyway! :lol: ).
 
Thanx for picking a car that's not too powerfull. Makes for many more clean laps when you're racing the ring :p

I left there maybe 2 seconds but I don't like this track and am not good at it either, so there might be lots of lost time.

I did 4 laps.

I can put in more work, but its already obvious where im losing time, and i dont know whether i'll get to have another attempt, i suppose it depends how good the turkey is tomorrow.

Im just glad to finish a lap when i get some nice splits lol but this is where im at so far.

I think I will sit this one out- to full on for me, very time consuming it will be.

Not sure I can participate this week, as mentioned else where I'm not home and won't get there until Sunday afternoon. I'm not a big "Ring" fan but would welcome the opportunity to give 'er a go. So good luck to all and hope to be back next week if I don't get a chance to run 140.
 
Nurburgring is my favourite track but I hate originals cars and I hate FF car's.... :crazy:

It's been almost a year, I think, since the last time I raced in the WRS, but driving on the Ring was too appealing. So I got myself a brand new Black Magic Perleffekt VW Golf R32 from the Arcade dealer and went to Schwarzwald so as to lay down some rubber on the tarmac.
Actually choosing the Black Magic car was the good thing to do because only voodoo charms could have saved my life from dozens of crashes into armcos.
Best lap so far (and only clean lap I must admit) :

6'39.754

The last 2/3rds of the lap were a bit overcautious, since that was the first time I reached T5 safely :)

Now off to shave off handfuls of seconds from these T6 and T9.

I'll keep on trying, so you'd better wait about an hour after this post before you update my time, I might improve again :)
