Quick Guide To Replay Checking:

1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing – Super Soft and that the power is 959 hp
2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle.

I knew i needed a 1'03.5 or less, and there was just no way i wasnt going to break something if i didnt stop winding myself up with this combo, so kudos to those who triumphed.

Kenny I couldn't quite catch you this week and Kevin's car is in the tech inspection lane..........Too much paint on that bumper again. Great racing by all who took part. George I know Steve got a good look at you in his rear-view this week. Nice driving.

Sphinx, another great combo creating some really competitive racing in each division.

Very close call beating Toffe by .002 you have me wondering if there has been any floods in your parts lately as I cant see any other reason for the sandbag ... not really a big deal since I got the .002 difference .. just a friendly dig
Nice and close by Cmir also 👍 I must have lost too much on the last section comparing the T3 splits

Congratulations to everyone. Hekke, that is a killer laptime 👍

Disappointing for me, seeing how I came close to a 2nd place. Ron, how did you lose that much in a flat-out corner?? You were over 0.1 ahead of me by T3, and I have done some laps where my last sector was over 0.05 faster than this. Apart from that, a great lap for sure 👍
Also a good lap by Toffe, it'd be nicer if you posted the splits but I don't bother, I even made an early submission.

Funny guy, Ron. I was hitting a bunch of laps right around my splits I last posted and this was the best looking lap with a good final time. You keep getting faster since your return in the fall. If you figure out a way to set up internet at your summer home, look out for the rest of us in D3.

The T3 made this one so transparent, I knew I was not in the running to beat Kenny and esh. But it's interesting that my sub was about 0.1 slower at T3 and 0.05 faster at the line, as compared to the lap I last posted splits for.

Can't wait to view some of the replays. T1 was my downfall, and I will be interested to find out if there were any particular issues with my approach.

Yea, that was close. Hehe. That sandbagging was actually quite unintended (nope, no floods here )since I started with this combo only some days ago with dreadful splits in the beginning. Only today I got some good splits before that good lap came. It's just that I have not had much time lately (to either race or post, that's why my submissions have been so irregular recently) but I'll post more splits from now on...

And btw, congrats to all gold racers this week! And especially to Mr.P and Cmir for the close fight 👍👍(without splits from me )

Great Pic Kenny - Would have made a nice second pic at the top of the thread!

I had more than just sparks at issue on the other replay I was speaking about. One "curb hop" involved 2 wheels off track coming out of the first chicane and I had several other areas the car just wanted to jump off line. Since I figured I was not in line for the gold, I decided to go with this slightly slower but much prettier lap.

I know I'm not gold, but I spent enough frustration on this one that I thought I would post my own replay for scrutiny anyhow, if anyone would like to view. 👍 I see Arora already checked Kenny's lap, but I will be back to provide the 2nd green flag as well.

Thanks Kenny, for the replay check. I did not check the logger either, but I assumed the chicane since that was the last slow corner and it was easy for me to see my mistake on braking late. I had a terrible time finding the braking point for this corner. Every time I came out of the hairpin with speed I ended up braking late.

Those sparks were spectacular 👍 and you are right, they might have cost you the win, as quick as you came through T3.

Looking forward to another tight battle in D3 at Midfield. We better get it in gear, esh has formed a nice little lead.

At least I'm working some how. I haven't been to work since just before Christmas, so I'm glad to have the extra time to help out. I should be on vacation/holiday somewhere with the ps2, dfp and alcohol. I would love to go skiing but with the bad shoulder its not going to happen.

Haha I'm kind of in a similar situation though not injury related. My line of work generally gets slow after the new year so finding more than 1-2 days a week in early February is complicated though I'm not really stretching myself to FIND the work, if you know what I mean. I just made a run to the beer distributor yesterday and bought a case of the finest brew in a can, Sly Fox Phoenix Pale Ale. Only thing I really enjoy about cold winter weeks, drinking beer in a slightly warmer basement! 👍

This was a first for me and in many ways a totally new experience... very different from what I´ve been used to so far... but what a rush once the racing ended and the dust settled.... or should that be sparks stopped flying
Exciting and very close battles all across the board...

I will have to apologize to all of you for not doing any write-ups ... I´m just not very good at it, in fact I suck... up until now I´ve been used to providing replays (PAL) and videos instead... so that´s what I´ll do... enjoy.. and no mercy 👍

Congrats to all golds and everyone for that matter to really push this car to the max! I wasn't sure how it was going to go down for me because I was well off the pace in the beginning. After just a couple of basic sessions though I was down to reasoable splits.

Got my replay off the card today. I'm also going to check out some replays even though they've been verified. I think it'll be interesting to check out peoples lines through the uphill right followed by the hard left, and also the chicane. I was really pushing for the 50.9xx's for my hot lap and finally hit it. I was pumped enough to slow up after the line only to realize I should have pushed for one more lap into the 1.03.9xx's. Oh well. Replay

Saturday I did some laps TCS off and managed at best 16.817 // 32.312 // 50.025 // 1'03.180.... very hard to keep the wheels from spinning but extremely good fun

I´ve checked CMir´s replay .... and I deem it ....100% correct and perfectly clean 👍
My thoughts are that you seem to leave your braking extremely late hence losing you precious tenths... nevertheless, awesome lap 👍

I've checked mtbiker's replay.. Clean, green and fast..! Nice driving mt. You should be glad with your time between T1 and T2, it looked great. Just rolling around the sweeper and fast over the hill. Like 180 mph fast. You came out of that left quickly also. I was trying it a little deeper and to the right. I couldn't get that section correct most of the time. This lap shows why you moved up to D2 so quickly.

Yeah well you aren't far off either. Just one or two turns cleaner and you would have been right on my tail. You were pushing me all week. I wasn't going to post up a slower lap time than a d3er two weeks in a row thats for sure! No offense to you up and coming D3 guys. I don't doubt a couple of you might be getting the bump sometime soon. And I don't know how I would have held up if 006r had been here this week. Hope you and your wife are still doing well and same with the baby if it's popped out!

Thanks for checking and for the comments. I tend to drive this kind of cars on the limit, more aggressively, probably because of the great cornering ability and the violent force feedback. With another car, I could probably brake earlier and go smoother, but the way I drove this week seems to suit me, though I lose a bit of time.
