Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Unofficial" and will become "Official" when all posted replays have been checked. After 7 days, any racers achieving a Gold time who do not provide a replay will have their lap disqualified.

shows that the replay has been posted and verified.

Quick Guide To Replay Checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing – Super Hard and that the power is 200 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle.

Saw a vid of hugo doing the turn before T2 with no brakes yesterday, but didn't ever think about doing that and never have seen that before.

And, Kenny, you were right about our finishes being about the same - we were .016 apart at T2 and just .032 apart at the line

Here's my replay. I hope it works, because I had to convert it from a PS3 save file into .max in like a zillion steps. It is my first effort to create and upload an .max file, but I hope very very much that I get to do this a lot more often. :dopey:

I wish I had that max-drive alredy ,
but haven't been able to buy one yet.

I even got a 1.22.175 time at the event ,
but I cut the very first right turn on that run 1-2 inches off the road.
had T1 about 25.9xx and T2 50.5xx

willingly keeping this time-board legit/clean
I submitted the lap time & splits that were totally clean.
And the specs were ofcourse correct too.

MadMax86,there is absolute no doubt that your time is not legit.

However, the rules say by the end of the week all gold times have to submit a replay.
After the week I have to disqualify your time.

However if you have prospect in a maxdrive in a reasonable time i can extent the deadline...

Denur,i saw that your time,tires and HP are correct.
One problem though,after T1 the car gets grazy and stops at the track after the tunnel.
I think the zillion steps messed up the replay.
I hope some one else can try to view it,perhaps the problems are on my side.

If you play GT4 on your PS3, is there no other way to produce a readable replay? Can't it stay in PS3 format? If so, can I (with a cheap PS3) or someone else (with an expensive one) check the replay for you without trying to get it to the PS2?

I have a 40 gig (cheap) ps3 and it will not play any ps2 games, so the cheap ps3 won't view a gt4 replay.

That's too bad Sjaak. Later today (after work) I'll retry to create the .max file and upload that one also, together with the orignal PS3 save file (with .psv extension). :(

edit> I recreated the .max file, but a binairy compare showed that there is no difference between the new one and the one I submitted earlier. So I'll include the .psv file and hope that someone will be able to verify that one. Meanwhile, I hooked-up the old PS2 (the thing still works :)) and tried to load the extracted files from there, so I could verify myself whether that part of the conversion works (from .psv to PS2 format). Didn't work of course, that's why they invented the MaxDrive I presume. :ouch:
But then again, maybe I just have to put these files in a special folder on my usb stick in order for GT4 on a PS2 to be able to read these files. Suggestions are welcome. :)

We all appreciate your efforts to get a replay posted and your second comments.

You might consider sending a PM to Sphinx. He is well versed at these types of issues and can probably walk you through it. He has done the same for other members. 👍

I had to download a gamesave first for the gt4 disk and got the information so the ps3 regornised my usb with your replay.

A green flag and for the next weeks no problem to upload your replay.
