Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Unofficial" and will become "Official" when all posted replays have been checked. After 7 days, any racers achieving a Gold time who do not provide a replay will have their lap disqualified.

I will update this post during the week to include any posted replays and also keep track of which replays have been checked and by whom.

shows that the replay has been posted and verified.

Quick Guide To Replay Checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing - Hard and that the power is 345 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle.

Congrats to all podium places! Some amazing times in div 1 and 2. I'm actually a bit disappointed, I hoped to get a time equal to div 2 podium places :(. Ah well, seems like I'll just need some more practice ;).

Man couldn't put a final sector together. Everytime I got a 26.7, I couldn't get the right angle for the end section. Nice work guys!

EDIT - a 35.6??? Woah, what did I miss? Can't wait to see that replay 👍

Yay! I had a feeling 36 flat would be a gold time, but I didn't expect a win! Only problem is I don't have a MAX drive, which I already said to sjaak. I can still prove my time though. Any suggestions??

Well, we require the .max or other data file format, videos or pictures will not do. So find a friend with one or find a way to buy one would be my best suggestions. You've been quick since coming in here, if you intend to continue to run GT4 race series, it would be a good investment. Not just to prove your own replays. Keep in mind that there are also many past replays contained here from some VERY fast racers. 👍

Damn... it's frustrating because I KNOW it's a clean run, but the max drives seem to be out of stock all the time :(. So if you guys won't accept my youtube video (which i'll upload for you guys to watch anyway), feel free to disqualify my time. :)

Sorry mcsqueegy, but video is simply unacceptable in spite of what it shows. Many people have been down this road before, and it's always had the same outcome. We cannot make exceptions here as videos have been used and proven to be manipulated in the past (resulting in a ban from WRS & GT Planet for the member in question) which cast doubts on their viability. (Not saying whatever you post is manipulated, at all, just that it is possible to post-process a video.)

Anyway, I did have a good rootle around the interwebs looking for a MAX Drive supplier, it appears that the old 16MB version is no longer produced and seems to be out of stock everywhere, however, it has been replaced by the 128MB version, which is in stock and available with worldwide shipping, in the correct PAL format for you at the following website:

At current exchange rates it's under $AU40 + shipping, which isn't bad.

Hey, fair enough. I expected nothing less, considering the WRS is held by moderators. Anyway, thanks for researching max drives, but it'll be a while before I get one :(. Especially since i'm going on holiday!

There are tonnes of programmes out there that'll allow frame-by-frame editing of .mpgs, .wmvs, .movs, .mp4s, etc. that're freely available. Again, no-one is suggesting this is what you're doing, but I'm just using it to illustrate the reasons why videos are unacceptable proof of a laptime instead of .xps/.sps or .max files.
It has certainly happened in the past that someone tried this to disguise a dirty lap.

The WRS is administrated by Moderators, however, the vast majority of the racers aren't Moderators, and all of us appreciate the ability of our fellow racers to provide the necessary evidence if required. 👍

The following rules are posted at the beginning of every WRS event, and have nothing to do with who is in charge, but in keeping all the WRS participants honest. By competing in the WRS you agree to adhere to these rules or face disqualification: ;)

Time verification:
Save your replay and keep it at least a full week after the time has been submitted:

  • all gold times each week will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide a replay before the next race deadline
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from WRS results
  • video replays are not accepted, only .max, .xps or .sps files can be verified
  • Those who have .xps or .sps files, can they please convert them to .max before submission

If you ordered a MAX Drive before you go on vacation, it'll be waiting for you upon your return, and you could maybe ask sjaak68 for a little extension on the deadline.

Anyway, enjoy your holiday, and hopefully we'll see you return as a verified racer when you get back. 👍

mcsqueegy's story is known ,I give him a few days more which gives also some more time to
jmgryo and MARCIPHERJO for submitting their replay.

If I go strict by the rule of the one week submit deadline we should have lots of disqualifications.
Or by lack of interests or by not good reading.

I know we are going to an end of GT4 but stay sharp.

I know I am.
